What Shoppers Say About Katies Fashion Australia
Katies Fashion Australia receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 1.4 out of 5 by 20 reviewers. The dominant complaints center on non-delivery of orders, unresponsive customer service that provides only generic scripted responses, and difficulty obtaining refunds. Shoppers report items disappearing entirely, orders never being confirmed, and months-long waits without resolution. Additional frustrations include the disconnect between online and physical stores (such as in-store credit not working online) and aggressive marketing communications after joining membership programs. A very small percentage of reviewers gave positive ratings, though their feedback is not detailed in available excerpts.
The retailer faces serious operational and customer support challenges that have left multiple shoppers feeling their money was taken without recourse. Common themes across reviews include unresponsiveness, lack of accountability, and a perception that the company operates indifferently to customer concerns. Shoppers explicitly warn others against purchasing and question how the business continues to operate given these systemic issues.

Sorted by: Most recentThe clothing quality here is really poor, and don't even get me started on shipping. Orders take forever to arrive, and sometimes items just disappear completely. Good luck reaching their customer service team too. My advice? Shop somewhere else.
I ordered from them in December but never got an order confirmation, so I reached out with my receipt. I must have emailed them a dozen times and kept getting the same generic response that they'd look into it and asking me to be patient. Eventually I figured out they weren't going to help. The company basically took my money and that was it. It's crazy how they get away with treating customers like this.
Think really hard before buying from this retailer. Their online store and physical stores are completely separate even though they have the same name. You can't use in store credit notes online, and you're basically stuck dealing with a call center in another country that doesn't care about you. Everyone reads from the same script and if you know your consumer rights and stand up for yourself, they'll just hang up. Australian consumer laws don't protect you here apparently, which is infuriating. If something's damaged or doesn't match their sizing info, you pay to send it back but get no refund, and exchanging? Forget about it. I will never buy from them again or recommend them. It's disgusting how they operate with zero accountability. Do yourself a favor and research them thoroughly before spending your money.
This place is a straight up scam. Your items won't arrive and you can't reach customer service. Don't waste your cash on this company. I honestly don't understand how they're still operating.
This is the worst customer service situation I've experienced. I've purchased from multiple retailers under this company umbrella and had to return things. Since my first purchase back in November I haven't received a single refund. I'm warning everyone right now: DO NOT BUY FROM ANY OF THESE BRANDS. I've sent many emails with my Australia Post return receipts but keep getting the same response about being busy. Where's my refund that's owed to me?
This is my third time trying to get this resolved. I tried handling it privately twice but got nowhere, so I'm posting publicly now. I bought a dress in store and was told I'd get a discount if I joined their membership program, so I did. What I wasn't told is that I'd get hammered with thirty emails from all their subsidiary brands. Then the text messages started coming too. It's completely unacceptable that they shared or sold my personal information without permission. When I first contacted them, they just told me to unsubscribe individually from each email, which is ridiculous. My second attempt to reach them got no response. Now my inbox is overflowing with junk mail, and even after unsubscribing I keep getting messages and texts over and over again. They need to contact me immediately and delete my info from every database they've given my details to. I've already filed a complaint with the ACCC because the harassment continues.
I ordered four pairs of pants using their sizing guide. The guide supposedly only applies to their own brand, but good luck figuring out which items on their website actually qualify. The pants I got were two sizes too small and were an Urban brand. When I called customer service to return them, I realized there were no return instructions on my invoice. The rep told me I had to provide photos of the sizing error. I asked if that meant I needed pictures of myself squeezing into undersized pants, and he said they needed evidence of the issue. He mentioned it was a change of mind, but that's wrong because the size guide was misleading. He wanted an order number but I gave him the one from the package, which was apparently incorrect. Then he couldn't understand my email address when I spelled it out. When I asked for a manager to clarify if they really wanted photos of me in the tiny pants, they were too busy. Their return process is creepy and honestly pretty gross.
Hands down the absolute worst customer service I've encountered online. It's beyond frustrating how many times I've had to explain my issue, and I'm up to four repetitions now. They've even put me on hold after I called about a missing item. How hard is it to deal with something so simple?
The absolute worst customer service experience I've had! Honestly, I'd give them zero stars if the system allowed it. I've shopped at this store for years both in person and online, and until this year things were generally fine with purchases and returns. But that changed yesterday and I'm done with them completely. I wanted to exchange some items I'd bought online the week before because the sizing and fit were wrong. I had my receipt and all the tags were still attached, so I didn't think an exchange would be any problem. But without even looking at what I brought in, the staff member started lecturing me about their no refund or exchange policy for change of mind, which apparently covers everything like wrong size, bad fit, color issues, whatever. She said online purchases have to be mailed back, which doesn't match what their website says, and she was incredibly rude when I asked for clarification. I had proof I'd bought it there and had never had trouble exchanging before. She was dismissive and really didn't care.
