What Shoppers Say About Keychron
Keychron receives polarized feedback, with shoppers split sharply between positive and negative experiences. Those satisfied with the company praise fast refunds processed without hassle and professional customer service, describing responsive handling of returns. However, the majority of reviewers report serious problems: defective products received new out of the box (such as broken cursor keys), extremely slow and unresponsive support processes that drag on for weeks, refunds that require customer persistence to process, incorrect items shipped (wrong keyboard layouts), and inventory issues with products marked available but out of stock. Several shoppers describe having to follow up multiple times to receive refunds or support, and report being asked to pay extra fees for warranty claims or offered only the option to repurchase rather than receive support.
Common frustrations center on the gap between online product information and what arrives, combined with support responses that are delayed, incremental, and sometimes dismissive of warranty claims. Shoppers also report difficulty obtaining refunds without persistent follow-up. The inconsistency in service experiences (some receiving immediate professional refunds, others waiting weeks and fighting for their money back) suggests that Keychron's customer service quality may depend heavily on individual support representatives or circumstances.

Sorted by: Most recentHad two major problems with my return: First, they didn't process my refund even after the package arrived at their warehouse. I tracked it and three weeks went by with nothing. I only got my money back because I nagged them about it myself. If I hadn't followed up I probably never would have seen that money. Second, they refused to refund the sales tax that was on my purchase. They gave me back the price of the keyboard but kept the tax even though they say only shipping isn't refundable. They claim this is stated in their return policy but it's not clear at all. And honestly even if it was, that shouldn't be legal. You can't just keep the sales tax from a refund. The support people were polite enough but they just kept repeating company policy instead of actually addressing what I was saying. Be really careful if you order from Keychron directly because if you need to send something back you might run into problems.
Purchased a keyboard model and the cursor keys were broken right out of the box. I contacted support and they kept giving me one thing to try at a time with days between each response. Firmware update, test the matrix, remove and reattach keys - nothing worked. After weeks of this they finally admitted it was defective but then wanted me to pay €10 for shipping to get a replacement. Why would any company charge a customer extra money when they're the ones who sold them a broken product? That makes no sense. I refused and they stopped responding after that. I wish I'd read more reviews before buying because a lot of people have had similar problems. Stay away from this company.
This is absolutely terrible. I asked for basic support and they said it's outside the warranty and I should just buy a new one.
Got a full refund of €53.09 from Keychron with no questions asked and didn't even need to ship anything back. The whole thing happened overnight and the team was super professional about it. Really impressed with how they handled everything without any hassle. This is the kind of company that actually cares about taking care of their customers. Would definitely recommend them and buy from them again. 5/5 - amazing refund service!
I ordered a keyboard that never got any shipping updates. After waiting 11 days I reached out to support and found out it was out of stock. They kept hinting it might come back but then after a bunch of back and forth they finally said it would never be restocked. I can't really recommend ordering directly from their website.
I ordered a keyboard from the regional site and the product page clearly showed it was ISO layout. The preview and my confirmation email both said ISO. What I got in the mail was a JIS keyboard which is totally different and not what I wanted. I emailed support with a screenshot of the product page from when I bought it and at first heard nothing. When they finally responded a rep actually accused me of doctoring the image which was completely out of line and insulting. After more back and forth Keychron admitted that yes an error existed on their site, yes other people had ordered the wrong keyboard too, and yes they fixed the listing since then. They confirmed they don't sell these keyboards anymore. But they still refuse to pay for return shipping. I have to ship it back to China myself at my own cost even though I bought it from the regional site which has local consumer laws. Their only offer was something they called a solution but it was basically nothing.
Hands down the worst experience I've had with any company. Over the years I've bought from places that didn't deliver quickly but at least when you emailed support they'd try to fix it. Keychron? They don't even bother responding to emails, forget about actually solving anything. I'm probably going to have to dispute this with my credit card company to get my money back. My advice is just don't deal with them.
Support team was polite and answered quickly, even sent free replacement switches and tried to help figure things out. That said the keyboard itself is the real issue: double input glitches and now a bunch of keys won't register because something is wrong with the circuit board. They kept having me troubleshoot instead of just replacing it which ate up way too much time. The keyboard performs worse than a $10 one. Large sections of keys just randomly don't work and they've never offered to replace it. For what I paid this is basically an expensive useless brick.
The support team was actually nice and quick to respond, and they even sent me replacement switches for free and tried to help troubleshoot. But here's the problem: the keyboard has double input issues and now half my keys won't register because the PCB got damaged. Instead of just replacing it, they made me go through endless troubleshooting which wasted tons of time. In the end nothing worked and they still won't swap it out for a new one. A $10 keyboard works better than this thing. I literally can't type properly because entire rows of keys randomly stop responding. This was expensive and now it's basically a paperweight.
