It's frustrating that people working in tech support don't actually know anything about these garage door openers. I hope someone at the company reads this and realizes that the two reps I spoke with were completely unhelpful.
This company prioritizes money over everything else. Working for a distributor that carries their products, I can tell you we mainly stock them because customers request them. They're really low quality across the board. They've seriously hurt the gate opener industry.
The 8500w model is absolutely terrible. The door bounces back constantly, so you have to wait and watch to make sure it actually stays closed before you drive away. There's no way to adjust the sensitivity manually, and good luck getting help from their tech team. My wife and I basically have to coordinate our schedule to get in and out of the garage because we can't rely on the door to work properly. Skip this product if you want to avoid headaches.
Got a complete garage setup installed three years ago using LiftMaster equipment. Since then, it's been nothing but problems with the door not opening or closing properly when it should. I've already put about five grand into this whole thing with three service visits. Today alone I paid a thousand dollars to have all the electronic and electrical parts replaced after just three years. This is ridiculous. LiftMaster should be ashamed of the quality they're putting out.
