What Shoppers Say About Lovesac
Lovesac receives sharply divided feedback, with shoppers either very satisfied or deeply frustrated. Positive reviewers praise the modular design that allows purchasing pieces incrementally, the comfort and durability of the furniture, and the quality of materials that resist visible wear. These customers report long-term satisfaction and appreciate the flexibility to customize their setup as living spaces change.
However, negative reviews cite serious quality control and customer service problems. Recurring complaints include misaligned pieces that don't fit together properly, replacement items arriving incomplete or incorrect, significant size discrepancies between advertised and actual dimensions (one pillow sac shrunk 10 inches after installation), and unresponsive customer support after issues arise. Additional concerns involve add-on products like the Stealth Sound System experiencing persistent connectivity failures despite multiple support calls. Several shoppers report unshipped orders with no communication, suggesting operational challenges at the company level.

Sorted by: Most recentFirst, I want to say the store customer service and sales staff were great. If I could rate this lower than one star I would. I'm not even thirty and this sectional has created serious back pain for me. I'm also dealing with a stiff neck, hip pain, and shoulder pain. You can't sit on this expensive couch for more than ten minutes without pain forcing you to get up. I made a forty hundred dollar mistake on a four piece setup. My boyfriend works in furniture sales at a major retailer and I do too, with combined experience of over twenty years, and we both agree we'd have been better off buying through our employee discounts at our stores instead of this thing. The concept is really cool, which is why I wanted it, but after living with it for six months there's just no comfort. The cushions flatten out instantly and there's zero back support. We're barely six months in and my hips are already hurting from the pressure.
They told us assembly would be simple but it absolutely wasn't. We loved how the sactional looked and felt in the store, and we were willing to pay the high price until twenty seven boxes showed up at our door. We actually asked about professional delivery and setup and even offered to pay extra, but they don't offer that service. They kept insisting assembly was super easy and would take just a couple hours, which is ridiculous. My husband spent twelve to fourteen hours on it and the covers still aren't sitting right because the whole process is so complicated. The result looks nothing like the display model. They did offer to send us packing materials for a return at no cost, but that would mean taking it all apart again and getting it to a shipping location. We won't buy from them again unless they add delivery and assembly service. It was an expensive piece of furniture and we're not satisfied with it.
I never even got to test how it feels to sit on since we never received it. I placed my order without any issues and it went through. A couple hours later I got a strange email from an odd domain that just said to click a link or call because my order was cancelled. It looked like spam to me so I ignored it. My wife asked about delivery and I checked the website to discover they'd actually cancelled my order with no explanation. I called my credit card company and they confirmed the merchant cancelled it, even though it was approved. When I got someone on their chat, the rep couldn't tell me why it was cancelled. She looked up the wrong order first, then couldn't still explain anything. A ticket was opened but nobody followed up on it. I'm done now. The order can stay cancelled and I'll get a couch elsewhere. This whole thing made me check their reviews, which I should've done first.
The actual covers and cushions are fantastic. The thing is, putting everything together is really tedious and frustrating. They make it sound like changing the layout is easy, but it's not. Same thing with washing covers. And here's a fun fact they don't tell you: if you attach the side pieces first, nothing will fit together right. We wasted hours trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. For an eight thousand dollar couch, assembly is a nightmare. That said, when you finally get it set up, the actual couch is great.
This has to be the worst sixty five hundred dollar purchase I've made. It looks frumpy and ugly once you actually sit on it. The cushions don't stay lined up right and the back pieces look terrible, all bunched together and oversized. I'm genuinely embarrassed about spending that much on couches that look awful. I can't believe this business is still operating. Also, you'll never want to clean these covers because putting them back on is absolutely terrible. What a ripoff.
This product is awesome. The videos that come with it make putting it together really straightforward.
This thing is fantastic. The company has great assembly videos that make setup super straightforward.
Skip this purchase. The hype isn't worth it. The fabric seams aren't done right and the inserts show through. Getting the legs to fit into the holders is really annoying. The price is too high for the amount of trouble. If you never plan on rearranging, there's no real benefit to buying it. Pass on this one. It's the worst thing I've bought and you should expect a bad experience.
I'm writing this because the bad reviews on here are mostly user error. These things are genuinely great and the staff at the store locations is awesome. They helped me place an order for the new angled sides and even suggested waiting a few weeks so I could get the newer version, which I'm so glad I did. The couch is awesome. I put it together by myself despite being pretty small, so it's definitely doable even if I was exhausted by the end. The big cardboard boxes are tough to get rid of on your own. I wish they offered white glove delivery and setup. I avoided the lovesoft cushions and went with the original instead, which is holding up great. Maybe a little firm at the beginning, but these are meant to last and the piece I sit on the most is already breaking in nicely. They suggest keeping one shipping box in case you need to exchange a cushion that might be improperly filled, though that didn't happen to me. I have a big setup with three deep seats and an ottoman on one side. This couch is fantastic.
I got this because my sister has one and I liked how customizable it is. After six months of ownership, I have to say it's really uncomfortable. The down blend cushions don't stay puffy, and my husband finds the seat cushions aren't supportive. We even tried swapping the back pieces with my sister's extra ones, but that didn't help. I've had back issues from surgery years ago, and while I appreciate the flexible design, the actual comfort just isn't there. My husband and I end up repositioning cushions or sitting somewhere else because sitting on this gets painful. I asked about replacing just the back cushions while keeping the seat, but they won't do partial swaps. For how expensive this is, the comfort level is really disappointing.
