What Shoppers Say About Maven Safety Shoes
Maven Safety Shoes receives consistently low ratings from shoppers, with reviews highlighting serious quality and authenticity concerns. Customers report structural defects including peeling tread, inadequate ankle and heel support, and poor heel-to-toe box construction that causes discomfort. Multiple reviewers note discrepancies between product photos and items received, along with confusion about branding and labeling on the shoes.
Beyond durability issues, shoppers express frustration with the overall value proposition, describing the boots as painful to wear and poorly constructed for the price point. One reviewer raised red flags about missing Maven branding and unexplained labeling such as "SETH" printed on shoes without clear model identification, suggesting potential authenticity or quality control problems.

Sorted by: Most recentThese boots are just not well made. There's basically no support around the ankle and heel area. After only a couple weeks, I've already noticed some of the tread pieces peeling off the bottom, and now I can see the inner lining showing through. The steel toe box is shaped kind of awkwardly and rubs right on top of your foot, which gets really annoying when you're on your feet for 8 plus hours straight. Don't even get me started on how cheap the insole feels. On the positive side, the upper material is actually pretty tough and does a good job resisting stains - it's held up surprisingly clean over heavy use. I've actually gotten compliments about the look of them, but I honestly can't tell anyone to buy these if they're going to be doing anything demanding like working on ladders, handling concrete, or doing demolition work or similar jobs.
These are absolutely terrible. SERIOUSLY, DO NOT BUY. I honestly feel really stupid for ordering these shoes. I spent a decent amount of money on them and they're incredibly painful to wear and look awful. The photos on the website made them look completely different than what I got. I couldn't even get through wearing them once because they cause so much pain in my feet.
I haven't actually made a purchase yet, but I've got some serious concerns about what's going on here. First off, I noticed these shoes don't seem to have any Maven branding visible. One shoe has SETH printed large across it with zero explanation of what that even means. I figured it might be a model name, but then I realized none of them actually have model names listed separately - they're all just labeled the same generic way. What really got me was finding the exact same shoe on Amazon for $30 less, complete with the same logo. That wasn't a one-off either. I spotted multiple shoes available on this site that are significantly cheaper elsewhere on Amazon, and they're all from different manufacturers. This really looks like they're just buying bulk safety shoes from Amazon and marking them way up. I also came across comments on other sites mentioning orders ship from China, which is honestly the biggest red flag of all. People are saying if you need to return something, you're either paying huge shipping costs or getting hit with a 40% off voucher instead of a real refund.
