What Shoppers Say About The Melting Pot
The Melting Pot receives mixed feedback from shoppers, with ratings split between enthusiasts and those concerned about value. Supporters consistently praise the interactive fondue experience, quality food (particularly the cheese and chocolate courses), attentive servers, and fun atmosphere that engages families. Many reviewers highlight the entertainment value of cooking at the table and note specific staff members (such as managers and servers) who delivered exceptional service. However, a significant point of contention is pricing, with multiple shoppers noting that while the food quality is good, the overall cost feels unjustified for what you receive. Some customers also report negative interactions with ownership or management, citing dismissive attitudes toward large groups.
Regularly mentioned strengths include the interactive dining format, quality ingredients, and knowledgeable staff at various locations. Recurring complaints center on high prices relative to portion size and value, as well as occasional issues with management attitude and accessibility (the chain has limited locations, requiring some customers to travel significant distances). Despite these concerns, loyal customers report returning over many years, suggesting the experience resonates with those who prioritize the novelty and social aspect over cost efficiency.

Sorted by: Most recentGreat experience overall! Scott waited on our table of seven and was fantastic. He really kept the pace of the meal going smoothly and was super attentive to all of us the whole time.
Ordered a large sub for pickup and when I got home it was nowhere in the bag. Called the restaurant and they initially said they'd deliver it, but then the manager apparently decided not to. It's frustrating enough to get home and realize your order is incomplete, but knowing you already paid for something you never received makes it worse. Also, the bottom crust tends to come out burnt pretty regularly. Seems like there's too much going on with staff goofing around instead of actually paying attention to getting orders right.
Went for Valentine's Day dinner and the server did a great job. All the staff were polite and welcoming. The food and atmosphere were okay, though it does get pretty loud when packed. My biggest issue was the Valentine's Day pricing. They had a special fixed menu with limited choices and it was sixty-five dollars per person for two people, which only included one glass of champagne each and no other drinks. I didn't think the value was there at all. The Melting Pot seems overpriced to me, and honestly the only way I'd go back is if there's a special deal running.
I'd give this place lower than one star if I could. We've been here multiple times for special occasions, and this Valentine's Day visit was a disaster. The owner straight up cancelled our reservation without telling us. We arrived early and were told we didn't have a reservation anymore. When we showed the owner our confirmation email proving we booked a month in advance, he didn't even try to work with us or find a solution. The service was terrible across the board. Won't be returning.
The food quality here is below average. There are definitely better places to eat around.
Visited The Melting Pot in Cooper City Florida for the first time and overall had a positive experience. My only complaint is that I was pretty tired and wanted to head out early, but the waiter explained he couldn't close the tab until everyone finished eating and all the fondue courses were done. That meant I had to stick around for another hour while the whole table wrapped up. Besides that, the staff was friendly and welcoming, always smiling, and the manager even came by to check in on how we were doing with the food.
Really loved this place! Took my husband out for a date and we both had a blast. The interactive cooking experience was such a fun touch. We did the four course meal for two and honestly there was plenty of food to go around. The chocolate fondue dessert was our favorite part and we made it really romantic. The price tag is steep though at one hundred thirty three dollars for the two of us. Still, it would be cool to come back just for the chocolate fondue experience as a couple sometime.
It's an okay experience. The atmosphere is great if you're young and on a romantic date, and I think it'd be perfect for high school or college dates. That said, it's pretty expensive. The portions are kind of small and it takes forever to cook everything, though it does taste good with the sauces. If you're really hungry, this isn't the place for you. Good spot if you just want to hang out and chat.
