When I contacted them asking for assistance, all I got was a call informing me they couldn't help me out unless I committed right then and there to hiring them as my attorney. It's a con. They advertise helping people but really just want your cash for nothing in return. Skip them entirely.

A lawyer referral from nolo turned out to be a dead end. When I called the office, they had no clue who I was or nolo. They didn't even practice that type of law. Calling nolo directly was useless every single time a menu option was selected, it just hung up on me. Emailed them and got bounce-back messages saying the address doesn't work. Frankly, they seem like a scam. Don't hand over your personal info.

Martindale-Nolo is ripping off consumers and breaking California's consumer protection laws. Thousands of people can back this up at this point.

I had a different issue than the leads problem, but it motivated me to leave this review. My lead supply dried up even though I had a small balance left. I phoned support and started communicating via email with a customer specialist about it. After over a month of trying, they just stopped responding. I offered them two options: either refund my remaining balance or restart my leads so I could use it up. Nothing. Radio silence.

Absolutely terrible leads. I went through over 60 of them and couldn't find a single worthwhile one. Total waste of both my money and my time. I spent cash purchasing these leads and hours following up on duds. It's a lose-lose situation. Frustrating doesn't even begin to cover it.

I signed up thinking I understood the deal, but I got misled. They told me it wouldn't auto-renew, yet it did. Plus the cost is way too high for what you're getting.

These leads feel mostly bogus to me. A huge chunk of them arrive after 11 p.m., which makes me suspect Nolo's paying people overseas to fill out forms. The names, emails, and text quality point to writers who aren't fluent in English. Blocking international submissions would be simple if they actually cared, but they don't. Some leads might be legitimate, but Nolo isn't telling us which ones. Small firms like ours can't easily spot the fakes, so this slips by. This operation is fraudulent. I received multiple fake leads who said they never had accidents, never reached out for legal help, and one guy confirmed he lived 2000 miles away from where he supposedly was. When I requested my money back with proof from the lead himself, they refused and kept everything. They bank on lawyers being swamped and unable to fight back.

I'm right there with the others on this. I've dropped $1000 and haven't gotten a single usable lead yet. I requested credits for leads outside my licensed state, since I specifically paid for Georgia cases only. Instead, they sent me Tennessee cases and denied my credit requests. Even though being out of my geography is supposedly grounds for a credit, they said I didn't show enough proof that the lead was from Tennessee. Here's the thing: if they send you a lead that won't respond to calls or emails, you still get charged $56 with zero other contact options. Their mess up isn't your problem to fix, but they won't credit you for it. This whole setup is a scam. You'll be frustrated, angry, and kicking yourself for going in. They profit while you burn time on cases nowhere near your practice.
