What Shoppers Say About Olive & Cocoa
Olive & Cocoa receives mixed reviews, rated 2.0 out of 5 by 6 shoppers. Positive feedback centers on phone ordering service, timely delivery for gift crates, and the quality of gifts received by recipients. However, the majority of reviews highlight significant concerns: excessive shipping costs (often $50 or more) that appear only at checkout, products arriving wilted or in poor condition, wasteful packaging practices, and unresponsive customer service regarding mailing list removal requests.
Recurring complaints point to misleading pricing transparency, poor product quality relative to price, and inconsistent delivery dates for expedited orders. Several reviewers note that gift boxes arrive mostly filled with filler material rather than actual products. The company's environmental claims are questioned by customers who report ignored unsubscribe requests and unnecessary packaging waste. Service quality appears inconsistent, with some customers praising phone representatives while others report frustration with customer support and delivery issues.

Sorted by: Most recentEvery year a friend sends me a wooden box from this company as a gift, and while I'm grateful for their thoughtfulness, it bugs me how much they're being taken advantage of. The box comes mostly filled with paper and filler instead of actual products. My kids eat the snacks inside, which are pretty mediocre quality, but the whole thing ends up in the trash. What really bothers me is that the company profits off someone else's generosity, knowing the person who paid will never see how overpriced it really is. They get credit for giving a nice gift when really the company is the one cashing in unfairly.
Definitely recommend Olive and Cocoa! I ordered one of their Christmas gift crates and placed the order by phone since I'm based overseas. The staff member who helped me was great, and the package arrived safely and on time. The people who got it as a gift loved it. Super happy with my experience and plan to order again!
Really let down by this company. The floral arrangements I got showed up completely wilted and dead. Here's the thing though - the shipping fees don't show up until you're about to complete your purchase, and they hit you with over $50 just for shipping on flowers. That's seriously misleading marketing. Customers need to watch out!
Over two years I've sent them 11 separate requests asking them to take me off their mailing list, but they completely ignore me and keep sending catalogs every couple months. They claim to be green and earth-conscious but just keep printing these things and generating waste. It's hypocritical, plus their customer service is pretty awful.
Really unhappy with how much they charge for shipping. Automatically packaging everything in a gift crate without asking is wasteful and annoying. If they want to keep customers coming back, they need to offer better shipping choices.
Ordered a fancy flower arrangement for my mom with the $50+ expedited shipping fee, and it was supposed to get to her on December 21st. Every single day they gave me a different delivery date - first the 21st, then 22nd, then 23rd. They kept making excuses like running out of flowers. Then the tracking showed December 27th delivery. When I tried calling, the automated message said they were closed for the holiday until the 26th, even though their ordering line is apparently available around the clock. I was really frustrated. They shouldn't offer flowers if they can't deliver reliably, and taking time off during the busy season without customer service availability is bad business. Update: The flowers did show up on the 24th and they were packed nicely, but the actual arrangement looked nothing like the picture. It was mostly greenery and filler with just a few flowers mixed in.
