What Shoppers Say About Omni Hotels
Omni Hotels is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 5 shoppers, with the majority of recent reviews expressing significant dissatisfaction. Common complaints center on service failures, including staff not responding to in-room requests in a timely manner, overbooking and room assignment errors that left guests without accommodations despite advance payment, unresponsiveness to customer feedback about pricing concerns, and reports of declining property conditions at certain locations. One reviewer noted steep spa pricing compared to competitors. A positive review highlighted good pool facilities and attentive staff at one property.
The rating distribution reveals a highly polarized experience, with 80 percent of recent reviewers giving one star and 20 percent giving five stars, indicating inconsistent service quality across or within the Omni hotel chain. While one guest reported a pleasant stay with nice amenities and good staff treatment, the preponderance of one-star reviews suggests operational and customer service issues that merit attention. Recurring themes in negative feedback include unmet expectations relative to pricing and advance booking guarantees.

Sorted by: Most recentRequested a corkscrew be brought to my room but after waiting 25 minutes nobody showed up. Went back down and asked again at the desk. Got back to the room and waited another 20 minutes with still no sign of anyone. Then I got a call saying they'd delivered it but to the wrong room. Ended up just going to the bar downstairs to get my bottle opened instead.
Had a wonderful stay at the Omni Louisville. The pool area was really nice and the staff treated us great.
Hate writing negative reviews about Omni since we've loved staying here for years, but the Royal Orleans location in New Orleans has really gone downhill. Last year we got the penthouse suite and it wasn't what we expected. The furniture looked worn out, and for what we paid for a week stay, my partner left very unhappy. Plus a door near the pool kept slamming starting at 5am every single morning, waking us up. I complained multiple times and was told someone would fix it, but nothing happened. This year we came back hoping things had improved, but the pool area is much worse now with no umbrellas or enough chairs. The worst part was when I got in the pool and slipped badly, banging my knee and hitting my back hard on the stairs. The water looked green and covered in slimy algae. I called maintenance and the front desk but nothing was done about the condition. Really disappointed since the pool used to be one of my favorite reasons to stay there.
Sent feedback to management about concerns with the spa pricing but never received a response. Really frustrated that the hotel doesn't seem to value customer input. My main issue is the massage fee of $185 for just 50 minutes when the treatment itself was pretty standard. That price seems way too high compared to other places charging around $80 for similar services. Since paying guests can use all the hotel's amenities, I'm wondering if those rates are competitive when you look at what other chains are offering. The massage area itself looked pretty average, which didn't help the experience feel special given what I paid. I expected to walk away impressed but honestly didn't get that wow factor. To be clear, the staff wasn't the problem here, it's really about the hotel chain's pricing decisions. Would be helpful if the hotel asked guests whether they felt like they got their money's worth at the spa.
Company made a corporate booking for our group of rooms but when I arrived to check in they told me there was nothing available. I'd already worked a super long shift and found myself sitting in the lobby for hours waiting for housekeeping to clean a room I'd already paid for and had reserved. Apparently they gave my room away to someone else. Can't believe how they handled this situation.
