Rifle Paper Co. Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Rifle Paper Co.
Rifle Paper Co. has a deeply divided customer base. A minority of shoppers report smooth transactions with reliable shipping and good product quality, praising the company when orders arrive as expected. However, the majority of reviewers cite serious operational issues: items listed as in stock are actually on backorder without upfront disclosure, shipping is extremely slow even for available products, customer service is unresponsive or unhelpful, return processes are difficult with refunds delayed or not issued, and some customers have received wrong orders entirely. Many reviewers report long waits for basic communication and inflexible policies that prevent order cancellation.
The most common complaint involves inventory management and transparency. Shoppers feel misled when they purchase items the company doesn't actually have in stock, and they struggle to get updates or resolution. Additional frustrations include slow shipping speeds, non-refundable shipping charges, poor customer service responsiveness, and difficulty obtaining refunds for returned items. Several reviewers explicitly advise against ordering from this company due to these persistent issues.

Sorted by: Most recentWatch out! They're offering products they don't have in stock. When you buy something, they don't tell you upfront that it's on backorder. They take forever to get back to you about anything. No communication or updates at all. This is just bad business practices.
I had some hesitation about ordering from this company based on what I'd read online, but I couldn't find the wrapping paper I wanted anywhere else. I have to say the whole process went smoothly from start to finish. Got an order confirmation email, then a shipping notification, then a delivery notification. I can't imagine what they could've done better and the wrapping paper itself is absolutely beautiful.
It takes forever to ship items, even ones they already have in stock (and they charge you for shipping). They're one of those companies that says orders can't be cancelled once they're in the system, even if nothing's been processed yet. Customer service was really rude about it. Update: The order finally showed up on 8/26, but the hat has visible glue buildup where the brim connects. The embroidery is coming loose and falling apart, with threads sticking out in multiple places. After waiting so long, being told they couldn't ship it or let me cancel, then getting a damaged item, I'm really let down. Their customer service also has been calling and messaging me about my original review, which I don't appreciate at all.
Still waiting on a package from an order I placed on the 24th. They go with the slowest mail option to keep costs down. Now they're telling me it won't arrive until 6/6. Pretty disappointing. What a disappointment! I'd advise against ordering here again, their shipping just isn't reliable.
TOTAL RIP-OFF. The site claims you can return items. After tons of back and forth through emails and calls, still nothing. Shipped the stuff back to them. NEVER GOT MY MONEY BACK. Customer service basically doesn't exist.
What a terrible experience and customer service was totally overwhelmed. Honestly I'd give them zero stars if I could. Put my order in on 11/27, got a delivery on 12/10, but it was somebody else's stuff. Sent an email right away asking where my actual order was. By the end of 12/11 they responded saying some items sold out, so they'd refund those pieces and ship the rest, plus send a tracking number when ready. Then nothing. I emailed again on 12/11 asking if other colors could substitute for the sold-out stuff, then again on 12/15 and 12/17 for a reshipment update. Finally on 12/19 I get a tracking code created that same day! That's eight days later after they claimed they'd reship, and they hadn't even shipped it yet. There's zero chance now that these items will get to me or be wrapped and sent back across the country before Christmas. Can't reach them by phone and email replies are slow. I asked for my money back since I don't need the items anymore, and I won't be ordering straight from their site ever again. If I don't get an answer today I'm calling my bank.
Placed an order for a planner and never got it. Tried reaching out to customer service over and over with no results. The order shows it's in pre-shipment but nothing's happening with it. Customer service won't respond to me. Planning to file a complaint with the BBB as well. Stay away from this company.
Usually I skip writing bad reviews since I get that businesses have rough moments and mistakes happen. But I have to say my experience with Rifle Paper Co felt like a total rip-off. Ordered a rug through their mobile site, and when it showed up, it was the wrong dimensions, a runner instead of the large area rug I'd wanted. Called customer support and got a busy signal, then that old fax machine noise. Customer service told me by email that return shipping would be my cost even though they'd already charged me to get the wrong rug there. I ended up paying $75 total in shipping costs for a rug that was incorrect and that I don't have anymore.
Watch out. Tried contacting them both by calling and email and got nothing back. Customer service has been absolutely terrible, totally different from what I thought I'd get with this brand.
Done buying Rifle Paper items. Lots of orders over time, but also lots of waiting. Back in January, I ordered wallpaper and had to wait three months for it to show up. They promised a 365 day return window if extra wallpaper wasn't needed. Come to find out three months later, they told me their return window was actually 30 days. On top of that they said 'our supplier stopped carrying this and we can't give refunds.' Since they're basically reselling a lot of their stuff, they just aren't dependable when it comes to getting products out or processing returns.
