What Shoppers Say About Roxio
Roxio has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with an average rating of 1.1 out of 5 based on 9 reviews. The most common complaints center on non-functional software that fails to perform its core functions (such as burning DVDs, Blu-rays, and CDs), unresponsive customer support with long delays or no response to inquiries, and problematic payment processing where customers report being charged despite transaction failure notifications. Multiple reviewers describe installation errors, unhelpful error messages, and refused refunds, creating a pattern of frustration across the product line.
Additional concerns include pricing discrepancies between advertised rates and checkout pages, and product quality issues where burned media does not work despite appearing correct in preview. No positive aspects of the software or company experience were mentioned in recent reviews. Shoppers express strong dissatisfaction with the overall value proposition, with several indicating they would recommend avoiding the company and one mentioning consideration of legal action.

Sorted by: Most recentI was ready to purchase Creator NXT Pro 9 after getting an email promotion. However, when I went to checkout, the price jumped from what was advertised. The website said one price but the payment page showed something different. Not sure if this is intentional or a system error, but it feels deceptive. I have experience with other software companies that at least stand behind their products and actually fix problems.
Would give no stars if the system allowed it. Incredibly frustrating experience overall. I spent three years trying to get this software installed without success. The error messages were unhelpful and support was equally useless. They've refused to issue a refund. The whole operation goes through a third party payment processor, and I can't even speak to Roxio directly. That intermediary is about as broken as it gets.
This is a place to throw money away if you're not careful. I bought a burning program and got a notification that the transaction failed. Later I checked my bank and found out they had actually charged me. When I contacted support about the conflicting messages, they insisted they never got paid even though my account clearly showed the charge. Their customer service was stubborn and unhelpful. I'm not going to risk another purchase and lose more money to their broken system.
This was a terrible experience from start to finish. It's clear Roxio has lost sight of what they should be doing. I bought their Toast 20 Pro version and ran into a serious problem right away. The DVDs and Blu-rays that come out of the burner, even using their standard templates, won't actually work. In the preview, the menu looks perfect and all the buttons light up when you hover over them. But once it's burned, those highlights disappear and you can't navigate the disc at all. This isn't a minor bug affecting a small group of users. It's a core issue that makes the software basically unusable.
Absolutely terrible customer service. I purchased Toast and immediately ran into problems with the download. The installer kept crashing and showing error codes. I sent a support ticket and was told to expect a response in 24 hours. Three days went by with nothing. I finally got the app working and then the installer threw the exact same error. Support still hasn't responded and it's been almost a week now.
I've reached out multiple times but haven't received any real support. Skip Toast 20 entirely. It's a waste of money and frustration. The company appears to have released software that doesn't actually function for its intended purpose of burning CDs. At this point I'd seriously consider taking legal action against them.
Felt like I got ripped off buying this product. After installing Easy CD DVD, I immediately got an error saying the license key had been used too many times. Their suggested solution didn't work. Don't waste your time and money here.
Disappointed with this product. The microphones are terrible and I realized they don't actually support Bluetooth like I expected. Beyond that, you have to pay extra for premium features, and when searching for karaoke tracks you want to use, additional charges pop up. Honestly, YouTube is free and gets the job done way better. Total waste of money.
