What Shoppers Say About Rx Safety
Rx Safety is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 18 shoppers, with the vast majority reporting significant problems. Customers describe issues with product quality (blurry lenses, poor fit, lenses that push uncomfortably into eyes), inventory management (items showing as available but being out of stock), order fulfillment (items disappearing in mail, wrong frames shipped), and customer service (refusal to help with defective products, offering only discounts or credits rather than replacements). Several reviewers also report billing practices they view as deceptive, including currency conversion charges at checkout and what they perceive as misleading company origin labeling.
A small portion of shoppers rated the store five stars, though their specific feedback is not detailed in available reviews. The overwhelming pattern among negative reviews suggests shoppers expect reliable inventory systems, accurate product descriptions, responsive customer service for defective items, and transparent pricing, none of which they report receiving consistently from this retailer.

Sorted by: Most recentI've bought five pairs of glasses from them before. The first three orders went smoothly. Then I bought a pair in November and I couldn't actually see out of them. They said they'd remake the lenses but only for $150. I had my prescription filled at another place and got great glasses, so I ordered the same prescription from this company and they were better but still off. I got zero support. Terrible company. Never again.
This is my third time ordering from RX-safety.com. As my vision gets worse with age, I usually try a few different places for each new prescription, getting a single lens pair for watching TV, progressive lenses for working in my shop, and also a progressive pair from RX-safety. Every single time, the glasses I get from local eye doctors don't work for me, but the ones from RX-safety are always spot on. I'm switching to RX-safety for all my orders from here on out. They're more expensive but absolutely worth it because they actually work. I work in the tree service business and these glasses are essential for keeping wood debris out of my eyes when looking overhead.
This is my third prescription order with RX-safety.com. As my eyesight changes with age, I'll try different places for new glasses sometimes, getting a single vision pair for TV, progressive lenses for workshop stuff, and a progressive pair from RX-safety. Without fail, the glasses from local retailers never work right for me, but the ones from RX-safety always come out perfect. I'm done bouncing around to other places. I'll get everything from RX-safety from now on. They're pricier but worth every penny when they actually work. I own a tree service and these glasses do a great job keeping saw dust out of my eyes when I'm looking up.
Wish I'd checked reviews first before ordering here. Waited a whole month to get my glasses and they still came with the wrong lenses! I asked for Transition gray but got yellow ones instead, and now they won't even respond to me. This whole company is problematic.
Total ripoff. First off, it took a month just to get the glasses here. They made excuses about the mail but it was their own doing. Then when they finally arrived, they weren't made with the materials I picked on the website, came in the wrong prescription, and had scratches like they'd already been worn. Honestly terrible service, basically a scam. There are way better companies now like other RX retailers out there. Won't be ordering from them again.
You're looking at waiting over a month for your order to show up. I would absolutely never buy from them again.
Do NOT buy from RX Safety, a workplace safety glasses site. This was the worst purchase experience ever. I talked to customer service, chat, and phone support multiple times before even ordering to prevent problems, and then afterwards I still had to spend hours catching their mistakes. They sent wrong items, overcharged me, and gave me wrong info. I'm still waiting for a partial refund because they charged me thirty-eight dollars more than what they quoted and I approved. If I hadn't asked for my receipt and checked my bank statement myself, I never would've caught the overcharge. It's been months since July and this still isn't fixed.
I got my prescription safety glasses and realized the prescription was wrong, so I started the return process to get new lenses made. Just so we're clear, the remake isn't free but costs $87, so I wasn't asking for anything at no charge. Since this was during the pandemic, I asked if I had to send them back within thirty days like they normally require or if I could wait until I got back to my eye doctor to check my prescription. The rep told me that starting the process within thirty days meant I could wait to actually ship the glasses back. A few months went by before I could see my eye doctor, but once I had my updated prescription I sent the glasses back. A different rep then told me they wouldn't honor my remake request because too much time had passed.
