What Shoppers Say About skinmedica.com
SkinMedica.com has received uniformly negative feedback from shoppers, with all reviews rating the store at one star. Customers report serious issues across multiple areas: shipping delays despite paid expedited delivery, unauthorized charges and billing problems that required credit card cancellation, inflexible order cancellation policies that resulted in loss of loyalty points, and defective product packaging with deteriorating components that shed metallic flakes. Customer service interactions have been characterized as unhelpful, with representatives either transferring callers repeatedly or becoming hostile when complaints were raised.
None of the reviewed shoppers indicated they would recommend SkinMedica.com based on their experiences. The complaints suggest systemic problems with order processing, customer service responsiveness, billing accuracy, and product quality control. The consistent pattern across all four available reviews indicates these are not isolated incidents but recurring issues affecting multiple customers.

Sorted by: Most recentPlaced an order on their website and paid extra for next day delivery at nine ninety nine. My package didn't arrive until a week and a half later. After making multiple calls to their customer service line and getting transferred around to different people with different phone numbers, I eventually reached someone who started yelling about completely unrelated stuff instead of actually helping me. All I wanted was for them to honor what I paid for, which was next day shipping that obviously never happened. Nothing got resolved and the representative was incredibly rude. This experience made me decide to never order from their site again. You're better off buying their products somewhere else because you'll get treated way better. It's sad that a brand like this chose to hire people like that for their support team because now they've lost me as a customer. I will not be going back.
Do not use this company. I tried ordering through their website and got a message saying my order was cancelled. Problem is, my credit card still got charged anyway. My bank confirmed the charge went through even though the order supposedly didn't go through. I had to cancel my entire card to stop them from taking more money. When I tried to reach customer service to figure out what happened, they were incredibly rude to me and actually ended the chat without helping. This seems like a scam to me.
Absolutely terrible experience with this company. I made a mistake ordering the wrong item and used $60 in points from their partner Alle to complete the purchase. I called just minutes after placing the order trying to cancel, but they said it was already processed. When I inquired about getting my points back, a customer service rep promised to look into it and assured me I'd have them returned once I sent the product back. I received my refund fine, but the points never showed up. I followed up asking where they were and was told flat out that I wouldn't be getting them. After sending an explanation via email, I got a response saying I didn't qualify for the points to be reinstated because ordering incorrectly apparently disqualifies me. This isn't really about the sixty dollars, it's about the principle of the thing. It only makes sense that my points would be restored, especially since someone at their company specifically told me they would be. Really disappointed.
Very disappointed with this purchase and the company's response. I spent a lot of money on their HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator, expecting quality to match the price. What I got was a product with serious packaging issues. The dispenser started falling apart within days, with metallic pieces flaking off around the pump and cap area. These flakes were getting close to where the product comes out, which seems like a real safety concern. When I contacted them about it with pictures, they basically dismissed me because it was past their 30-day window. That's how they handle potential safety problems? By hiding behind a time limit? For a company that claims to be serious about skincare, their customer service was completely unhelpful. They refused to replace it or refund it, and didn't even acknowledge the packaging problem. I've stopped using their products entirely, and several people I know have too. I'm planning to file a complaint with the FDA and let other retailers know about this experience as well.
