Another retailer whose customer service has gone downhill. I made a purchase on a Wednesday and then Thursday a sale kicked off with twenty percent off. I phoned them up and asked if I could get a price adjustment and they said no because I'd missed the forty eight hour window. I pointed out that I'd gotten an email with early access on Friday and that was news to me. Then they said it doesn't matter anyway since I used reward points on my order, so I already got a discount and they don't let you mix discounts. I told the rep that when the sale was happening I checked the website to see what I'd pay and I did use reward points at checkout and the system let me apply both. The rep said that must have been a mistake on their end and shouldn't have worked. But then I showed them their own help section that clearly states you can use reward points together with other discounts. Plus their policy says if you return something you bought with reward points, those points are gone and you don't get them back to use later. That's a terrible way to run things and just another scheme to hang onto customer money while making it seem like we're getting rewarded.

Their response to my adjustment request was incredibly wasteful. The item hasn't even gotten to me yet and their website is already showing a twenty percent off promotion. When I asked if they'd give me an additional discount to reach that same twenty percent total, they said no to combining discounts. I wasn't trying to get more than twenty percent off, just the promotional amount that's now available. I got a tiny discount when I first ordered but I want the new twenty percent offer. Their answer was for me to ship the whole thing back, let it sit in their warehouse, and then purchase it again if nobody else grabbed it first. No thanks. That seems incredibly wasteful coming from a company that claims to care about environmental impact.

Their resale program has sketchy practices. I've tried their resale program a couple times before and had good experiences with it. Similar to how Patagonia does theirs, you fill out paperwork, ship in your old stuff that doesn't work anymore, and get a gift card back. Last time though I mailed in two pairs of lined overalls that didn't fit me right anymore, one tan and one dark green. I'd actually bought both pairs because I loved the tan ones so much I got the other color too. When winter ended they just weren't flattering anymore so I sent them both in. The green pair had literally never been worn, sitting in a sealed bag in my closet the whole time. I got quoted thirty dollars per pair which seemed fair. But then they emailed saying zero dollars and not eligible. I asked what the issue was. They claimed they were damaged. That's impossible, one was basically brand new. Then they said they were dirty. Wrong again, they were spotless. I have no idea if something happened during shipping but they gave me zero details, no photos, nothing. Just a quick sorry with no real explanation. Shop your secondhand clothes somewhere else. Something fishy is going on with how they handle this.

Toad and Co has become one of my go-to favorite brands. I've been a loyal customer for over a decade now and keep coming back for more. Their pieces always get noticed and people compliment my outfits all the time. I'm really drawn to their environmental values, their design aesthetic, and the way they focus on sustainable practices.

Pretty mediocre quality for the price point. To start, I'm not sure how a company can tout sustainability when their stuff is manufactured in China. I've bought around ten different pieces because some of their materials are perfect for traveling and I appreciate wool in their cold weather line. But my recent experience returning a deteriorating shirt under their satisfaction guarantee has totally soured me on the brand. The shirt was only five months old, never went in the dryer, and the seams were coming apart and fraying everywhere. When I sent it back, they gave me store credit for less than what I paid. Seriously? Why would I want to buy more overpriced stuff that falls apart? I'm spreading the word about this company because it's not living up to its reputation. I also agree with the other reviews that they're selective about which customer feedback actually shows up on their site.

I purchased three items from the main Toad and Co site and three from their sister brand. They say the sites are connected, but the return policies are completely different. I grabbed two dresses from the sister brand and one was fine but the other was way too big. When I asked to return the oversized dress, they rejected it saying the reason wasn't valid and it would be unfair to the seller. Are you serious? The dress was made incorrectly, that's a defect. On top of that, their rejection email landed in my spam folder while everything else goes straight to my inbox. It feels like a scam. They told me I could just resell it through their site instead. So are these clothes being sold from someone's closet? I was really excited about this company and their environmental commitments. I figured the discounted items were overstock from previous seasons like most clothing retailers do. But they shouldn't make the sister brand so easy to access from their main store if it operates under completely different rules. I'm done with them.

Be cautious before buying. Just like other reviewers I've seen, I left an honest and thoughtful review on their site but it never got posted. I had to send back a skirt that didn't fit the way it was described online and the actual color was different from what showed up on their website. I was really let down by the fabric quality too.

Got two items in my order and one arrived in bad shape. When I tried to send back the damaged one, they slapped me with a restocking charge. I posted reviews for both products over a month back now, one good and one not so great, but neither one has shown up on their site. I'm pretty sure they're never going to publish them. Their review system isn't trustworthy to me, and I won't be shopping with them again even though I actually really liked one of the things I got.

Great Product Selection with Excellent Support. I put in a three star review for a shirt and confirmed my email like they asked. Four weeks have gone by and still no sign of my review posted anywhere. The first couple dozen reviews on their website are basically all five stars, so it seems pretty clear they skipped posting mine since it wasn't perfect. I reached out to them and got told it would show up within the next few days. It never did. I can't trust what they're showing on their review section anymore. It's unfortunate because I genuinely like the clothing but I need authentic feedback about sizing and quality before I make a purchase choice. To be fair, they did handle my return quickly and got the credit issued without any hassle.
