What Shoppers Say About Trade Ideas
Trade Ideas receives highly polarized reviews, with shoppers either strongly dissatisfied or satisfied with the platform. The dominant complaint centers on technical performance: users report an outdated, clunky interface with frequent loading failures, data display errors, and software freezing. Trading functionality draws significant criticism, with reviewers claiming AI-powered recommendations fail over 85 percent of the time, trades close within minutes at losses, and broker connections drop after each transaction. Additional concerns include unresponsive customer service and questionable discount practices that raised red flags for prospective buyers. Those who rate the service highly acknowledge the platform contains many useful features and streamlined capabilities beyond what brokers offer, though they note a steep learning curve requiring tutorials and paper trading practice to fully utilize.
The platform appears to appeal to experienced traders willing to invest time in mastering its complexity, but the technical instability and poor trade execution results deter most users. Refund requests are reportedly denied, leaving dissatisfied customers without recourse. The dramatic split between one-star and five-star reviews suggests Trade Ideas works for a narrow audience comfortable with its limitations, while the majority of users find the outdated technology and inconsistent performance unacceptable for the monthly cost.

Sorted by: Most recentThe interface looks old and clunky. The AI-powered trading recommendations are failing more than 85 percent of the time. Trades frequently get opened and closed within minutes, sometimes even jumping in after price gaps. The moves seem careless and not well thought out. I've seen it buy into bullish gaps only to immediately start losing. This happened back-to-back three times with major losses each time. The performance is disappointing and falls well short of expectations. You'd honestly be better off following your own trading plan instead.
Should never have signed up for this. The whole platform feels ancient and constantly has loading problems. For what they're charging monthly, I expected something modern and functional. Instead I got sluggish, broken software that serves no real purpose. When I asked about getting my money back, they flat out refused.
The website constantly shows that no data screen. I have to refresh multiple times before it finally works. The app itself isn't worth paying for and the design looks really old fashioned. Not falling for it again.
HEADS UP TO POTENTIAL BUYERS. Sure the platform has useful features but it doesn't perform like they claim. My connection to my broker gets cut off after every single trade. You basically have to restart everything to fix it. Plus it freezes randomly without warning. If you're watching a stock and the platform locks up, you're left guessing what's happening since the software isn't tracking it. I've sent them hundreds of support messages with screenshots of errors that happen at least 500 times during each trading session. HEADS UP if you pay the upfront $2500 and end up hating it, prepare yourself for nothing but sales pitches for their premium coaching at $400 per hour. And forget about their automated trading feature since that's another $2500 on top of everything else. Just a fair warning.
I was interested in buying their service so I sent them a question via email, but their reply didn't actually address what I was asking. Then they offered me a 15% discount, which struck me as odd for a premium service. A couple days later I checked back on their site and saw they were pushing a 25% discount. That raised some serious red flags. Why would a quality product need such aggressive discounting tactics? Strong services don't have to beg for customers like that. The fact they were throwing out those kinds of deals made me think twice. I decided to pass and would say skip this one.
There's definitely a lot of complexity packed into this platform. My issue isn't that it's weak but that I didn't know how to use all its capabilities at first. You need to watch tutorials and experiment using paper trading to figure things out. Sure, your broker might offer some of these features, but these guys streamline it and offer more features overall. And about those customer service complaints I've seen online, honestly they're not deserved. Been a user for a year and their support has always been there instantly when I needed it. I mean right away, not in an hour or the next day, but immediately.
I've been using this tool for two decades. It's the top option for professionals and beginners alike looking to get serious about trading.
Tried creating an account on their website and noticed an image with a political slogan on it. I figured maybe their site had been hacked so I reached out to support about it. The response I got was incredibly rude and dismissive. The employee made comments like I was being dramatic, told me to stop complaining, and made some pretty harsh personal remarks. No matter what your political views are, treating customers with that kind of attitude is totally unacceptable.
I'm really impressed with Trade Ideas. Tons of filter options and notification settings to pick from. The chat support is fantastic. Definitely suggest checking them out if you're looking for a stock scanner.
