Wind & Weather Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Wind & Weather
Wind & Weather is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 24 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews being highly negative. Recurring complaints center on severe customer service deterioration, including long wait times (25+ minutes), unanswered emails, and calls routed to overseas support. Shoppers report misleading pricing practices, such as discount codes that don't apply as promised, mandatory insurance fees added to all orders, inflated tax calculations, and excessive shipping charges (20-25 dollars per item). Additional issues include late deliveries (sometimes months late with no communication), billing errors and duplicate charges, and disappointing product quality for premium-priced items like specialty plants and decorative lighting.
A small minority of shoppers gave five-star ratings, though no positive review excerpts were provided in the recent data. The store, which specializes in outdoor and garden products, appears to have undergone ownership changes that shoppers say have resulted in a sharp decline in service standards, transparency, and overall value. Most reviewers explicitly state the company was superior in the past but would not recommend it in its current state.

Sorted by: Most recentCustomer service was absolutely terrible. Got the wrong item shipped to me and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes just to reach someone, I was told a return label would be emailed in the next two days. Four days passed with no label, so I tried calling back. After two separate holds of 20 and 15 minutes respectively, I finally got through. The rep told me the wait was only 10 minutes, which was obviously false, then said they were working on my label and I'd get it in a few days. All the while they're still holding payment for the item I actually ordered, which costs twice as much. No apology offered and the service rep was incredibly rude.
Bought a metal reading dragon sculpture on May 28 with an expected ship date of July 2. June 18 comes around and I get word the order would be delayed until July 9. Early July, my credit card gets compromised in some data breach and I have to get a new card number. So I call Wind and Weather on July 7 to update the payment info before they try to charge it. Turns out the ship date has already changed again to August 6, and new orders supposedly won't go out until mid-September, but they swear I won't lose my spot. July 8 I get a cancellation email. July 14 brings a message from their partner company saying the new date is now September 17. I can't even find my order online anymore. When I asked about the date change, they basically said since I had to cancel for payment reasons, the new order loses the original delivery date and that I was given bad info over the phone. They also mentioned that phone orders are treated differently.
Got the snowmen spinner for outdoor Christmas decorating. The base is way too small for it to actually spin properly. Really disappointed with how it performs.
Placed an order for two items but only received one in the first shipment. After waiting weeks, I finally reached out to ask about the missing piece. They promised to send it right away, but here's the kicker - the same item was being sold on their website for less money than what I'd paid. Then I got a cancellation notice for my second item. I suspect they oversold after my purchase and prioritized newer orders instead of honoring mine. Would definitely reconsider ordering from this company in the future.
Got a bulb basket ordered early December for a Christmas gift with a promised delivery by mid-December. The recipient was going to be traveling, so I needed that early date. Wind and Weather kept pushing the ship date back further and further every time I checked. I called customer service and they said people were out sick and couldn't tell me when or if it would even ship. Totally unacceptable service, and now it looks like I never sent a gift at all. I won't shop here again. They don't care about customers, and I seriously doubt staff were sick for that many weeks straight.
Bought a 100 dollar gift card for the second year running, which was a huge mistake. I've got two email confirmations from them with order numbers and shipping confirmation numbers, but the physical card never arrived after a full month. When I try to contact them through their website, nobody responds. I've spent hours on multiple phone calls, easily over 45 minutes total, and it's been completely pointless. At this point I'm considering getting my lawyer involved, which is ridiculous over a 100 dollar purchase, but that seems like my only option. Won't be ordering from them ever again.
Found a copper boot tray on sale for $44.97. I signed up for their offer that new customers who give their email get $10 off their first order. I've been waiting over three days for them to send me that coupon and still nothing, but they sure know how to send me other marketing emails. Meanwhile, that boot tray price jumped to $64.97 and I never got any discount code. Their false promise combined with the spam emails means I'm never buying from them.
I got the WHI Glass Floor Lamp and I've got to be honest - this thing is made cheap. The metal frame is so flimsy that it doesn't stand properly upright. The toggle switch was broken out of the box and doesn't work at all. There's no way this lamp is worth what I paid, even with the sale price. I'm really let down by the quality. Sure, I could return it, but packing and shipping it back would be a huge hassle, plus I'd have to buy special packing materials since the original box got torn apart getting the lamp out. The shade might be salvageable for something else, though I should mention it's not actually glass like the name suggests.
The customer service here really is top notch. Some of the products though, not so much. I bought a solar balancer that won't even spin despite being in full sunlight all day. They sent me a replacement and it had the identical problem. So they went ahead and refunded the whole thing no questions asked. That's pretty great service in my book.
Their customer service team really did right by me. Though I have to say, some of their actual products aren't worth the money. I picked up a solar balancer but it won't spin even sitting in full sunlight. They sent me a second one that had the exact same issue. After that, they just refunded my whole purchase. Now that's the kind of service I appreciate.
