The website made no mention that the item I wanted was out of stock. Right after I ordered, they let me know it wasn't available but expected it in two weeks. Two weeks turned into three, then four, then five. You probably see where this is going. After six weeks of waiting, I asked for my money back. First they offered to swap it for something else, then they just stopped communicating. Good thing I had PayPal on my side. Filed a dispute with them and got my refund that way.
We spent 150 bucks on a brass rain gauge and within half a year the ball lost its red coloring. After we got some heavy rain, the ball wouldn't rise in the water like it should. When I tried to lift it out, it got stuck to the vial and the whole thing dropped and shattered. Called Wind & Weather and they wanted to charge us 20 dollars for a replacement ball, another 20 for the vial, plus shipping. For a gauge we already paid that much for, it's disappointing they wouldn't cover those parts. We've been loyal customers for years buying lots of stuff, so this really let us down.
