Had to try reaching out about getting replacements since the first one tasted terrible. Can't bring myself to tell my sister, who gave them to me as a Christmas present, that I absolutely hate them. Don't want to hurt her feelings but honestly I'd rather just toss them.
Ordered a sympathy basket for a friend who lost her mother, but it won't arrive for a month. After finally getting a human on customer service chat, they explained that even though delivery is still weeks away, they refuse to cancel the order until it ships. That makes zero sense. This actually happened to me before, except worse, when I sent a large basket to my aunt during her grief over losing my uncle, and it took three months to arrive. Their customer service is completely unacceptable, and I won't be coming back.
These aren't the muffins we've loved and ordered since 1985. We also bought some at their Kansas City store location. They're thicker now and the size of what used to be their standard larger muffin. The texture, flavor, and taste are all off, and the muffin itself is much drier. Customer service isn't great either. Favorite flavors are either out of stock or discontinued, and they couldn't even tell me when they'd be available again. It's just not a special treat or gift anymore. Not Fred Wolferman's recipe. Not ordering again.
Placed an order for my brother and his wife that was supposed to arrive on 12/24/25. The package never showed up. I contacted customer service twice and they promised me both a refund and that the item would still be sent. Neither happened. I'm done with this company and won't be ordering again.
Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered in November for a Dec. 16 delivery that never happened. Nobody even told me there was a product shortage. They still charged me 29 dollars for Passport delivery plus 22 dollars for a coffee cake. My nephew mentioned he never got the Christmas item either. After being on hold forever with customer service, they said they'd ship another and it would arrive Jan. 2. That didn't happen either. Your company is a mess.
I made 7 Christmas orders on 12/10/25. One arrived three days later, but the other six just disappeared. Called Wolfermans twice with no real help, tried their online chat which was useless, so I placed a new order for those six items on 12/20/25 guaranteeing delivery by 12/24/25. They're now scheduled to deliver on 12/26/25. My family was counting on these for Christmas morning. I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, even had Passport membership, but ever since Harry & David took over, the service has been terrible. This is my third messed up order this year. Really embarrassing. I'm not coming back.
Asked a straightforward question about buying two packages of English muffins instead of four. Got bounced between their AI system and finally to a human agent who wrote me this entire essay about how complex my question supposedly was. This company used to be so much better but they've really gone downhill. They lost me as a customer.
Bought two gift baskets on Nov. 29 with a promised delivery window of Dec. 3-5. Got an email saying one arrived Dec. 3, but it didn't show up. Days later, another email about a delay. These are perishable items we're talking about here. One basket actually sat in a warehouse only two hours away from where it needed to go for four whole days before finally getting delivered on Dec. 10.
Ordered on 8/15 and got an email on 8/19 saying it shipped. Fast forward to 8/22, which is a full week later, and my package is still sitting in a warehouse. Apparently nobody thought to hand it over to FedEx. Let me paint the picture: it's summer, you're packing baked goods, and then you leave them in a box in a warehouse for four days? I could've paid even more for expedited shipping instead of the already overpriced rate I was charged. Wolfermans used to be fantastic. I trusted them with my best friend's birthday gift. I called and complained pretty hard. They gave me a refund but kept a couple dollars for some reason. Oh, and the package is on its way now but it's going to be late, which honestly doesn't surprise me anymore. Won't use them or any of their affiliated companies ever again. Seriously, what happened to these people?
Ordered cookies to send to a colleague as a retirement gift. Delivery was scheduled for late July, but my colleague was retiring by the end of July, so I canceled and got my refund. Customer service mentioned I'd get a 50-dollar credit for the inconvenience. That never happened. Trying to get answers about that credit was absolutely awful. Won't order from this company or their other brands again.
