Woodcraft Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Woodcraft
Woodcraft is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 24 shoppers, with a notably polarized distribution of opinions. The minority of five-star reviews suggest some customers have positive experiences, but the overwhelming majority of feedback centers on serious operational issues. Shoppers report receiving damaged or defective items (cracked boards, missing parts, dented containers, tools with multiple problems), incomplete orders (wrong items substituted), and unresponsive customer service with long delays in resolution. Additional complaints include difficulty reaching support via phone, unresponsive email inquiries, and discrepancies between advertised and actual shipping charges.
A recurring theme across negative reviews is frustration with review moderation practices, with multiple shoppers reporting that their critical feedback never appears on the website, suggesting selective display of only positive reviews. Shoppers also mention issues with backorders being advertised as available, unclear or misleading shipping policies, and the time it takes for replacements to arrive (such as three weeks for a missing part). The combination of product quality concerns, order fulfillment errors, and perceived lack of transparency in customer communications has left reviewers expressing they do not recommend the company and stating they will not return.
Customer Reviews (24)
Sorted by: Most recentOne star for having a completely broken ordering system and customer service reps who are genuinely difficult to work with. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this company's performance is so bad I think others should know. Their system completely falls apart when you need to order something that's not on the shelf. The lack of any real communication is stunning. Here's what happened to me during their November sale: I ordered a dust collector and a filtration system and got charged the same day. After a week, the order status still showed 'in progress.' A few days later, nothing had changed. So I called to find out when these large items might show up so I could arrange to be here. The customer service person said one item would arrive around the end of December and the other sometime in March. Both items were marked as available when I ordered them.
One star because this company's ordering system is completely disorganized and their customer service has an attitude problem that's really off-putting. I usually don't write negative reviews, but after what just happened, I think people need to know that Woodcraft is falling apart. When something isn't available in the store and has to be special ordered, everything falls apart communication-wise. During their November sale, I ordered a dust collector and a filtration system. My card got charged right away, but a week later the order just said 'in progress.' After another few days, still the same. I called to get an idea of when it might arrive so I could be home to receive these large boxes. The rep told me one item would likely get here by end of December and the other probably in March. Both were shown as in stock when I placed the order.
The pricing isn't necessarily the lowest around, but what you get in customer service makes up for it. The staff is always willing to give free guidance and I've never had problems with returns. My store offers free shipping on purchases over $35, and they cut boards at no extra charge so they fit in my small vehicle. Their free training sessions are high quality and they always bring in excellent instructors.
Their prices might not beat everyone else's, but their customer service really does stand out. I always get knowledgeable advice for free and I've never had trouble with returns. My local store gives me free shipping on anything over $35, and they'll cut lumber to fit in my vehicle without charging extra. The free workshops they offer are really solid and they bring in great outside instructors.
