I've been a loyal Xero customer since 2019 and was happy with their sandals and shoes until recently. Got a new sandal in late March and using it about 10km per week, the sole started falling apart within a few months and caused foot pain. By late June when I actually wore them out, I'd only put about 150 to 160km on them, which is roughly 2% of their advertised 5,000 mile warranty. I submitted a warranty claim through their website but they rejected it as normal wear and tear, offering me a discount on a new pair instead of replacing it. How can something be normal wear after 150-160km when they advertise 5,000 miles? That's completely unreasonable. A sandal that degrades like that regardless of how you walk isn't normal at all. Either their 5,000 mile claim is fantasy or this is just marketing hype. I understand companies and customers move on, and I guess it's my time. Xero was great for many years, but I'm moving forward.
Purchased the WP low scrambler and within a couple months the mesh started tearing apart. Since this should fall under their 24 month warranty coverage, I contacted them. But their complaint process is pretty unreasonable. They want you to cut the shoe and send photos, which destroys them. I suggested donating to someone in need instead, but they want documentation of the donation somehow (which doesn't make sense for gifts to people you know). Plus I actually need those shoes for wet surfaces until replacements arrive. They showed zero understanding of this situation and won't replace or fix things in a normal customer-friendly way. It feels like they don't trust their buyers. A defective product should be refunded or replaced without making the customer jump through hoops. I won't be buying Xero again and I'm letting everyone I know about my experience. The quality and service really let me down.

First pair of WP mesa trail shoes didn't work out because I underestimated how stiff the waterproof lining would be and needed a half size up for proper toe box room. When my BTR Zelens arrived just 2 days before the event, I was able to wear them immediately with zero break-in period or stiffness. I walked and jogged my 8km on pavement without any discomfort during or after. These shoes are stylish, incredibly light, and I'm thrilled I took the chance on another pair.
