What Shoppers Say About Youtube
YouTube TV receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from subscribers, with shoppers citing persistent technical problems, poor customer service, and high pricing as major concerns. Reviewers report frequent playback errors, buffering issues with recorded content, login problems, and difficulty accessing local channels and live sports. The service occasionally works adequately when functioning, but customers describe customer support as nearly non-existent, with long wait times in support queues and unresponsive billing departments that make account management frustrating.
The cost of the service (reported at $82 to $83 per month) is a recurring complaint, especially when combined with missing content, forced upsells, and the need to purchase additional subscriptions to access local sports. Shoppers express particular frustration with aggressive promotional pushes for add-on packages and an abundance of commercials despite the high subscription price. Multiple reviewers indicate they are considering or have decided to switch to competing services due to the combination of technical issues, customer service failures, and perceived poor value.

Sorted by: Most recentI've had this account for more than four years and keep running into "playback area" errors that prevent me from watching local channels or live content. Login and account issues pop up here and there too. YouTube TV's suggestion? Buy a second subscription to fix it. On top of that, my recorded sports programs keep buffering for 15 to 90 seconds, particularly when trying to check the key plays feature.
The customer service at YouTube TV is absolutely terrible. When their service went down, I was told I was number 120 in the queue, then an hour later they said 300. The chat support was just as bad. If you ever need help, you're basically on your own with this company.
YouTube TV works alright but it's way too pricey and overhyped. Their billing team is a nightmare too. Good luck reaching anyone in that department. Whenever I try updating my payment method, the system conveniently throws an error and won't let me proceed. I'm just going to drop the subscription and switch to a different service.
Getting tired of shelling out $82 every month just to find out I can't even watch my local sports teams. I ended up paying another $18.99 for a different streaming service so I could catch my college team play in their championship game.
I'm already paying $83 monthly and I'm bombarded with way more commercials than free apps like Tubi. When I logged in recently, it kept pushing me to try the ESPN sports package with no way to decline, just options to try it or see pricier plans. Spending this much money to get treated so badly makes me feel foolish for subscribing in the first place. Honestly, I can't understand why anyone would waste their money on this.
We couldn't get Disney content for several weeks straight. They offered a twenty dollar credit as compensation, but actually claiming it turned out to be nearly impossible. It works when you can actually use it, but customer support is basically non-existent.
I'm paying extra for NFL TV. I get Thursday games, but now Monday night is gone. This streaming service is awful, and I'm canceling at the end of the year. That'll save me ninety dollars!
I liked the rates, but now they're pulling ABC, Disney, and ESPN and I'm furious. There's no live customer service to speak with either. I've stuck with them for over four years, but I definitely won't be coming back even though I'd never go back to Comcast.
It really bummed me out that I couldn't watch Monday night football on November 3rd 2025, plus I got blocked from ABC channel 7. Those are shows I love, but they're gone because of YouTube TV's dispute with Disney. I had to cancel my subscription over it. To make things worse, the sound cut out sometimes even though my smart TV works great otherwise. They never told us ESPN and ABC were being removed from the service, and I'm pretty sure they're still charging folks nearly $96 a month.
