What Shoppers Say About Mercola
Mercola is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 21 shoppers, with the majority of reviews expressing frustration with order fulfillment and customer service practices. The most common complaint involves significant shipping delays, with orders stuck in processing for weeks without clear communication about inventory status or estimated delivery dates. Shoppers also report issues with items being sold while out of stock, unexplained order cancellations, and difficulties obtaining refunds or cancellations when problems arise. Some reviewers describe the website's email collection tactics and verification popups as deceptive marketing practices.
On the positive side, shoppers who have received their orders acknowledge that Mercola's supplements are high quality and effective, with specific praise for products like Magnesium L-threonate. However, the consistent feedback is that customers can purchase the same products elsewhere at better prices and with more reliable service. Loyal customers express frustration that warehouse issues and operational delays are pushing them toward alternative retailers like Amazon, despite their satisfaction with the actual products themselves.

Sorted by: Most recentI've been ordering from them for years - probably spent thousands total. In early March they let us know there were warehouse problems making shipments slower. My vitamins did eventually show up and I got tracking updates. But then I placed a new order a few days ago and as of now it still hasn't shipped with no estimated delivery date. Plus the order summary is missing items I'm pretty sure I selected - I don't see my Vitamin D and B-complex listed, just some things marked as 'being processed.' I'm running low on my supplements because nothing's coming through in a reasonable timeframe. Just process a refund if you can't handle getting orders out on schedule, because that's what's happening here. The service feels sloppy and it's frustrating when you need these products. Good news - the package showed up a couple days later with just one vitamin short, which seems to be how they normally operate. The company emailed about my monthly discount and store credit that should arrive in my account, and the discount did show up.
I'm going to echo what some other folks have mentioned here. Placed an order about two weeks back and it's been stuck in 'processing' mode ever since. When I reached out, they told me the warehouse is backed up and that canceling the order isn't even an option. I actually like a bunch of their products and normally just grab them on Amazon instead. Lesson learned about trying to order directly from them I guess.
The website let me buy something that wasn't actually in stock. After 13 days I called to check on things and found out it still hadn't even been processed. They told me it might be another one to two weeks before it's back in stock. Somehow they knew it was out and just didn't bother telling me or asking if I wanted to wait or get my money back instead. It's disappointing how many businesses these days have settled for just being okay instead of being great.
Be careful before trusting this company. They use sketchy tactics on their website like gatekeeping content and clickbait. They make you give up your email to 'instantly' access information, then hit you with a popup claiming that was misleading and now you 'have to' verify your email for privacy reasons - more dishonesty. A company that games people to get their email address like that clearly doesn't operate with real integrity. If they're not being straightforward about something as simple as their website requirements, why would they be honest about what's actually in their supplements and how well they work? They need to do better.
This was a nightmare from start to finish. They canceled my order without any explanation I can understand. I bought something during Black Friday and then they canceled it without warning. They sent an automated email claiming it was a card issue, but my card works perfectly fine everywhere else. Now I can't get that sale price anymore. The customer service people were incredibly rude and unprofessional - almost seemed like they were mocking me for being a paying customer. I've worked in customer service training for years so I know how this should go. The whole thing was just awful.
The supplements are genuinely excellent quality, though you'll definitely pay more than at other places. I'm totally sold on their Magnesium L-threonate product.
Have generally had good experiences with them over the years, but this time things went sideways. I accidentally clicked on the wrong item and ended up ordering something different than what I wanted - though it happened to be the same price. I caught my mistake within 60 minutes and emailed asking them to swap it out. Instead of just making the change since the cost was identical, they tried to convince me to just keep what I ordered. I said no thanks. Six hours later they sent a message saying the order already shipped and offered to let me return it for a fee. When it arrived, sending it back would cost me about 41 in shipping alone. Pretty frustrated with how they handled this.
I've been a loyal customer for quite some time and am really satisfied with what they offer. Sure, their vitamins come with a higher price tag, but that's because they actually deliver quality. I make a point to stock up whenever there's a sale happening. The team there is outstanding - super courteous and they really know their stuff. When they're unsure about something, they take the time to find answers for you. The quality is genuinely impressive, which is why even my naturopath carries them in her practice. You can find these products at plenty of health food stores too. Some of the negative feedback I see online makes me think people might be unfairly piling on.
Got banned from their forum for some mysterious reason I still can't figure out. I was getting so much valuable information there - honestly learned almost as much from the community discussions as from their articles themselves. I called customer service three times and emailed twice trying to understand what happened, but nobody could explain it. All the people I'd connected with, all their posts and advice - it's like they vanished. It's really disappointing. What made it worse is they never gave me a chance to fix whatever the issue was. I used to look forward to reading everything on there, but now I just skim and delete emails from the last few months.
So glad I checked out reviews before placing an order here. The newsletter articles are pretty interesting, but lately they've been all over the place and kind of contradict each other, which is frustrating when you're just trying to make smart choices about your wellness routine. I was about to buy supplements from them, but after reading what other customers had to say, I learned their products might not be as good as advertised and they're way overpriced. Decided not to go through with it.
