What Shoppers Say About Apparel
Apparel has received overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 1.3 out of 5 stars from 15 shoppers. The most serious complaints center on customer service failures, including canceled orders without notice, delayed refunds, and refusal to honor stated return policies. Shoppers also report quality control issues such as damaged items arriving with holes and loose threads, mismatched uniform numbers, and incorrect sizing, compounded by poor fulfillment practices like untracked shipments arriving on different days.
Additional frustrations include outdated return procedures that require phone calls and manual mail-back shipping rather than modern online options, arbitrary order blocking based on shipping address discrepancies, and inconsistent enforcement of return windows at physical locations. A very small minority of reviewers gave higher ratings, but the overwhelming pattern across reviews shows systemic problems with order accuracy, shipping reliability, quality assurance, and customer service responsiveness.

Sorted by: Most recentHad a terrible experience with their customer service team. My order got canceled without any warning, and then it took multiple attempts just to get my refund processed. Really not happy with how this was handled.
I'm really let down by my experience. The shirts got shipped out on different days and showed up late with zero tracking information. One of them came damaged with a hole in the back and loose thread on the shoulder. I should have inspected everything right away, but I didn't catch it until after I'd already used it. I ended up having to drive to another store and spend extra money to replace it. When I asked for some kind of refund or credit for the damaged item and my inconvenience, Apparel.com wouldn't do anything to help.
In 2025 and they still require you to call for return authorization, then physically write an address on your package and mail it back? Are you serious? This is sketchy and completely outdated.
Stay away from this location in the mall. I tried to return something within 4 days of purchase with tags still on and my receipt, even though their policy says 14 days are allowed for returns. The employee refused to process a refund. First he claimed he had no cash available, so I offered to have it credited back to my card since that's how I paid. He shot that down too and basically forced me to accept store credit instead. The whole interaction was really unprofessional.
They blocked my order because I wanted it shipped to my actual shipping address rather than my billing address. I explained to customer service that I own both locations, but they wouldn't budge. Makes absolutely no sense. There are plenty of other companies that will actually take my business.
We run a youth football team and ordered uniforms in July. After waiting forever, the kit arrived completely messed up. The numbers on the front and back of the shirts didn't even match. The youth sizes we ordered for 7-year-olds were way too big. After tons of back and forth over messaging, they sent another set but made all the same mistakes again. Look somewhere else for your team needs.
Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. These guys are absolutely terrible. Their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. They literally hung up on me during our call.
Their customer service is practically nonexistent. The phone line is nearly impossible to get through on. When you finally do connect, the person in the warehouse just drops the call. Or they take messages about refunds that never actually get processed, even when you've already sent the item back. Why is returning something that doesn't fit such a complicated process? I sent my item back with next day delivery on September 17th, 2024 and haven't heard a word since.
I ordered a couple of varsity jackets back in March 2023 and still haven't received them. It's been over a year at this point. Every time I email support, they tell me the package is coming soon and blame it on the pre-order status. This is absolutely a scam operation and they should be investigated by authorities. I'd recommend everyone report them to the relevant fraud agencies.
This company is awful to work with. I placed an order on December 11th and haven't heard anything since. Got one email saying I'd be notified when it ships, and that was it. Nothing for a week. There's no way to reach anyone. Their return and cancellation policies are basically impossible to work with. Don't bother if you actually want to receive what you ordered.
