What Shoppers Say About Outrigger Hotels and Resorts
Shoppers are divided on their Outrigger experience. One reviewer praised the Waikiki Beach location highly, calling the rooms beautiful and the pool area nice with convenient dining options nearby. However, two reviewers reported significant issues: one guest was not provided breakfast vouchers despite purchasing a package and ended up paying out of pocket, while another criticized the room quality relative to price, noting outdated and damaged furniture, malfunctioning cabinet doors, and mold in the shower.
The main complaints center on room conditions and staff coordination with pre-purchased amenities. While the properties appear to offer decent pools and dining options, some guests feel the accommodation quality does not justify the rates charged. Service inconsistencies and maintenance issues appear to be recurring concerns that may affect the overall value proposition.

Sorted by: Most recentI arrived at the Outrigger on April 25th for my reservation. When I got to the front desk, I mentioned that I'd bought a breakfast package but didn't have the paperwork with me. Nobody gave me any vouchers, so I ended up paying out of pocket for breakfast throughout my stay. Once I got home, I found the confirmation email showing the package was supposed to be included. I tried reaching out to accounting three different times through email, but never got a single response.
The pools and dining options are decent, but staying in the rooms is a letdown for what they charge. I'd rate the accommodations more like 3.5 stars, not 5. The furniture looked outdated and beat up. Cabinet doors wouldn't shut right and made squeaking noises like they were about to fall apart. The shower was pretty gross with mold growing between tiles that were already broken. The whole bathroom was depressing to look at. I tried using the safe in the room, but it didn't work, and the staff couldn't fix it either. For the price, this place just isn't worth it. I can't recommend staying here.
This Waikiki Beach location is fantastic. We'd stayed at K'Olino before, but we're definitely coming back to the Waikiki Beach Reef and Resort Club from now on. The rooms are beautiful, and the pool area is really nice with the ocean right there. Tons of great spots to eat around the Waikiki area. This whole trip was excellent with Outrigger. My adult son who has special needs is already asking to come back this summer, though he'll have to be patient. There's plenty of shopping nearby and amazing restaurants everywhere. They even have live music by the pool at night, and there are plenty of loungers plus cabanas available if you want to rent one.
