What Shoppers Say About Easy to Grow Bulbs
Easy to Grow Bulbs receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with the vast majority reporting serious issues with product quality and germination. Customers report that bulbs fail to bloom or grow despite following instructions carefully, orders arriving incomplete or not at all, and extremely frustrating customer service experiences. Refund requests are often denied based on timing windows, and multiple shoppers describe lengthy waits for responses or replacements. A small number of satisfied customers praise the company's product quality and responsive service, but their positive experiences represent a distinct minority.
The most common complaint centers on non-germinating bulbs and seeds that fail to produce plants even when care instructions are followed precisely. Shoppers also report significant fulfillment problems, including incomplete orders where fewer items arrive than were paid for. Customer service complaints are consistent across reviews, with long response times and inflexible refund policies frustrating customers who have lost substantial money on non-performing products.

Sorted by: Most recentSpent fifty dollars on paperwhite bulbs and only two of them actually bloomed. It takes about six weeks to get them to flower when forcing with pebbles, so I asked for my money back. They told me I was past their refund window. Plus they claimed they couldn't even find my order in their system! I've bought paperwhite bulbs from other places and never had this problem where they don't bloom. These guys are selling defective bulbs.
The plants I got have bloomed and look good so far. My complaint isn't about those. I ordered two packages with ten Hostas each and paid for everything. But one package only had seven and the other had six. I planned my whole garden around getting twenty. When I asked for replacement plants instead of a credit, that's what I requested again. Their response to my second request was just "already assisted." That's not help, that's brushing me off. I ended up going to a different supplier to fill the gap. Hoping they take better care of customers.
This is absolutely terrible! I spent over $100 on bulbs and got nothing at all. Their website promised they were in stock and would go out in three to five days. Total lies! I'm still waiting for my money back after more than two weeks.
I've purchased fall bulbs from lots of different companies over the years, even some other brands under the same parent company. But my experience with Easy to Grow Bulbs this year has been fantastic. I placed several orders and got great quality bulbs at fair prices. When something went wrong with one order, they sorted it out for me the very next day. Everything from answering my questions to getting my shipment out happened smoothly and quickly. I'm definitely ordering from them again. Thanks so much for treating customers right!
Customer service takes forever to respond and the products themselves are the real problem. I ordered expensive Ranunculus and Anemone corms that just wouldn't root no matter what. I followed every single rooting instruction perfectly. A customer service rep told me their guarantee doesn't apply unless you plant right after delivery. I waited two weeks to match my growing schedule here in Western PA. Who knows how long these bulbs sat around in their warehouse before getting to me. They're basically scamming people with dead, overpriced bulbs.
I ordered eremurus bulbs for my place up in northern Minnesota and got them within a week. The problem is I couldn't plant them until April at the earliest. When I called asking for guidance, they said to keep them in cool storage but they couldn't promise anything would grow. I figured a nursery would know to time shipments to match the local planting season like other places do.
I ordered six plants and when they arrived they were practically dead and unbelievably small. They looked even tinier than the containers they were packed in. This was completely unacceptable. I wish I'd looked at reviews before ordering. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else.
My payment didn't show up anywhere, not in my email and not on the website. I received only part of what I thought I ordered. There's no customer service link on the site and no way to access account info. I won't be going back!
