What Shoppers Say About [BLANKNYC]
BLANKNYC has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 15 reviews averaging 1.4 out of 5. The dominant complaint centers on customer service and order fulfillment failures: multiple reviewers report unresponsive communication, orders canceled weeks after purchase, tracking information provided for items that were never sent, and difficulty reaching the company for resolution. Beyond logistics, shoppers cite dismissive and disrespectful interactions with representatives, poor sizing accuracy that runs significantly small, and misshipped items. A small minority of reviewers acknowledge that the clothing itself has appeal, but this is vastly outweighed by operational and service issues.
The consistent thread across negative reviews is that BLANKNYC's promise to deliver orders fails to match customer expectations at virtually every stage: order confirmation, shipping communication, and customer support. Shoppers recommend purchasing BLANKNYC's products through established retailers like Zappos or Nordstrom instead, where these items reportedly arrive reliably and customer service is responsive. The rare positive feedback does not adequately offset the widespread reports of frustration and unmet commitments.

Sorted by: Most recentWatch out before you order from this place. They run a terrible operation with basically zero responsiveness. I got 4 jackets to give to some wonderful family members as gifts. I placed my order on 12/1 and tried reaching out a couple times to check on my shipment since I wasn't hearing anything from them. They never responded, and today I found out they canceled the whole thing. The way they handle communication is the worst I've ever experienced from any company. I genuinely hope they overhaul their management and figure out how to provide actual customer support, or they're headed straight out of business.
The actual clothing is pretty good, but the service is unreliable and disappointing. I've run into problems with them more than once. The first time I bought a jacket but then three weeks later they messaged to say they didn't have it after all. Just recently I ordered two more items, got order confirmation and tracking numbers for both, and they messed that up too. When you've had issues with 2 out of 3 orders, that's a pretty bad track record for any retailer, especially one charging these kinds of prices.
The sizing is way off for what you're paying. To actually fit into a large, you'd practically need to be a size 2.
This experience was absolutely dreadful. I had a phone conversation with a representative who was dismissive and disrespectful toward me. She made fun of my questions and showed no patience whatsoever. I honestly can't say enough negative things about this interaction. Even the shipping company commented that I was dealing with a really problematic business. My advice is to steer clear of them completely. That representative needs to find different work.
Take the bad reviews seriously, they're completely legitimate. This is hands down the most frustrating company I've dealt with. Reading these reviews, my guess is they'll get bought out soon. They accidentally mailed me a child's jacket. When I called to report it, the person told me she didn't think they even made children's clothes, which was pretty wild. She asked me to take photos and send them in. For context, the jacket was only 18 inches long. I sent it back with a measuring tape to prove my point, and they responded saying they'd have to bump it up to someone higher up since they had no idea. Three weeks went by with nothing, so I packed up both jackets and shipped everything back. I'm crossing my fingers that I actually get a refund eventually. It's disappointing because I do actually like the quality of their items. Going forward I'll be buying them through other retailers.
Normally I don't take the time to leave feedback, but I feel obligated to give others a heads up. Skip ordering from their website. If you're interested in their jackets (I really like them), try buying from retailers like Zappos or Nordstrom instead, where they actually have dependable customer service. My order went out the day after I placed it on June 25th, which was impressive given the circumstances, but when it showed up I got completely wrong items. After calling to explain the issue, I had to repeat myself THREE TIMES over the next 2 weeks just to finally get a return label sent my way (even though they said they had my correct email and it wasn't going to spam). I mailed back the wrong stuff, and they've been sitting in their warehouse since July 17th without any updates for nearly 5 weeks. I contacted customer service two more times and got told I'd see a refund by August 6th. August 18th came around and I got the runaround again until I asked for a manager, who got my credit processed right away. The customer service reps and supervisor were pleasant enough, but there's clearly something wrong with their warehouse operations. Get this brand somewhere else instead.
I placed an order for a Blank NYC jacket online. Later on, I got an email (with absolutely no apology) saying my order was canceled because the item was no longer in stock. I checked back on their site a week after and the jacket was still listed as available for purchase. So I phoned customer service and calmly walked them through what happened. The representative told me their inventory system doesn't sync with the website and that she couldn't tell me what they actually have available or not. She also never apologized and completely brushed off my comments about how messed up it is that they're advertising items for sale that they don't actually have. I'm definitely going to find a different company to buy my jacket from.
There's clearly a reason why this retailer has such poor ratings all over the place. One of my items showed up broken and getting them to take it back was such a hassle, especially since they made me provide a free return label. They also made me jump through hoops to prove it was actually defective, asking for photos twice before they'd believe me. Come on! If you want their clothes, go grab them from Nordstrom, Nordstrom.com, or basically anywhere else that offers 1) actually good customer service 2) free shipping that doesn't require you to spend $175 minimum (seriously, why do they have that rule??) and 3) easy returns without making you file RMA paperwork and cover your own postage. That was the first and last time I'll be ordering straight from their site. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
My order never showed up and it was missing a pair of jeans. I paid the extra fee for expedited shipping and they don't even provide return labels, which is pretty unbelievable in 2019. Almost every other retailer does this. So now I'm out $100 for the jeans, another $20 for shipping, I didn't even get everything I paid for AND I have to fork over at least another $20 to ship back this heavy jacket which looks like it's already been worn and then just thrown in a box. Total ripoff!!!!
