What Shoppers Say About Glo
Glo is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 14 shoppers, with the vast majority of reviews expressing serious dissatisfaction. The dominant complaints center on billing practices that reviewers describe as deceptive or problematic: advertising suggests affordable monthly options, but the actual signup process reveals annual subscriptions charged upfront in full (ranging from approximately £122 to £245). Multiple shoppers report being charged despite attempting to cancel, having charges processed without full consent, or discovering unexplained additional charges on top of quoted amounts. Customer service responsiveness is another major point of frustration, with reviewers stating that support is difficult or impossible to reach and that refund requests are refused or heavily resistant even when requested immediately after charges.
One positive review highlights Glo's workout content, praising the large selection of classes, quality instructors, variety of workout types, and flexibility to choose session duration and difficulty level. However, this single five-star review stands in stark contrast to the overwhelming majority of one-star ratings, which focus on business practices and customer service rather than on the quality of the fitness content itself. Shoppers appear to value the actual service offering but express frustration with how billing and customer support are handled.

Sorted by: Most recentThe advertising made it look like there were affordable monthly options, but when I started the sign-up process I realized the cheap price was actually for a full year paid upfront. I tried to cancel and removed the app, but they still charged me over £240 all at once. After I reached out asking for my money back, they refused. When I pointed out how misleading their ads were, they demanded I send them a screenshot to prove it. This company feels really sketchy. I wish I'd read the complaints online before giving them my payment info.
It's unfortunate how cold and inflexible the customer service is here. I tried getting a refund after they charged me £245 (yes, they sent a reminder email two months before), but it totally slipped my mind - just a simple oversight that should've been handled with some compassion, maybe a partial refund or monthly option. In today's world with subscriptions everywhere, keeping track of them all is genuinely hard. Most companies understand this and handle refunds without giving you a hard time, which makes people want to come back. Now I'm done with this predatory outfit called GLO and I'm telling everyone I know about how they operate.
This company operates so shadily. I've used them before and had issues with being charged too much, and their customer service didn't help fix anything. I gave them another shot recently and tried to cancel, but they offered me a yearly rate of £122.50. Then they billed me £30 on top of that £122.50. I never would have agreed to both charges if I'd known that was happening.
This might be the worst company for customer communication I've ever encountered. You can't reach their support team, you purchase credit that you can't actually use for what you need, and eventually the credit just vanishes from your balance. The service they're providing now is nowhere near what it used to be.
This business strategy involves offering free trials and then automatically signing people up for annual subscriptions without telling them, making refunds nearly impossible to get. Even if you catch the charge right away and ask for your money back that same day, it's a nightmare. If you're shopping from Europe, remember you legally have the right to cancel within 14 days with no questions asked, regardless of what their policy says. Look into consumer protection options if they won't cooperate. For those in the US, especially California, there are consumer protection agencies that might be able to step in if this happens to you.
After spending four months with glo, I keep coming back for more because there's such a huge selection of classes. I've really enjoyed the teachers, the different types of offerings, and being able to choose how long my workout is and what difficulty level I want. Sometimes I prefer doing three short 15-20 minute sessions instead of one full hour. They've got yoga, pilates, fitness, relaxation, meditation, barre and educational content. The sheer variety is what really stands out to me.
Sad to say I'm now part of the crowd who experienced the frustration everyone keeps complaining about - their predatory billing system and that £245 annual charge for something I never even used. I tried to cancel just five days after the charge went through without having accessed anything, but all they would do is point me to their terms and conditions and say no refund. Don't recommend this to anyone.
NEGATIVE STARS!! THIS IS WHY THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME. THEY WILL GRAB YOUR MONEY WITHOUT ANY WARNING JUST FOR SIGNING UP. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFORMATION - SERIOUSLY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
Heads up if you're thinking about getting a subscription here - watch out. They don't do partial refunds if you want to stop using the service. The whole cancellation process is confusing and their support team isn't helpful at all. It feels like they don't actually care about keeping customers happy.
I have to agree with everyone else here. The business practices at this yoga company are seriously questionable and honestly pretty disappointing. I tried logging in to cancel my account but got hit with a £245 charge before I could even do it. I never got any heads-up email and didn't realize they automatically put you on a recurring subscription with no way to turn it off unless you cancel entirely. Then they charged me AGAIN for the next year at a lower price when I finally tried to cancel. Now I'm stuck paying for TWO years with no option to cancel or remove my card information. This basically feels like they're stealing from me. The company claims it's somehow my fault, but I had no idea they were this untrustworthy. The yoga classes were good, but I'm too nervous to keep dealing with them anymore.
