Apple Vacations Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Apple Vacations
Apple Vacations receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from customers, with 1.5 out of 5 based on 24 reviews. The most common complaints involve refund delays (customers waiting over a month without clarity on when money will be returned), poor customer support that lacks problem-solving ability, unresponsive follow-up from representatives, and inability to assist with flight changes or modifications. Additional serious concerns include customers being charged significantly higher rates for replacement flights after cancellations, lack of communication about property issues before arrival, and inadequate resort safety and management oversight for incidents occurring during stays.
Very few customers report satisfaction with Apple Vacations. The rare positive experiences appear minimal compared to the volume of complaints about refunds, support responsiveness, pricing practices, and resort quality control. Shoppers consistently indicate they would not use the company again and recommend booking directly with airlines and hotels to maintain control over changes and have recourse if problems arise.

Sorted by: Most recentI waited more than a month for my refund and when I finally called I was told they weren't giving it back yet because they needed to review it again. The airline already confirmed they were refunding six hundred forty-one dollars but here I am not knowing what this company will refund or when. I'll never use them again.
Their support is really bad and while being based overseas isn't necessarily a problem, the reps have zero ability to make flight changes. I wanted to extend my trip and was told someone would call me back with options but I never heard anything. He said he had to check with his supervisor. Just book and manage everything yourself where you can actually make changes whenever you need to.
I'm really upset with how this company handled my situation. My flight got cancelled through no fault of mine and I never requested any changes. I booked exactly what I wanted and even paid extra for a nonstop option because that mattered a lot to me. Now they're saying if I still want to go I have to pay almost fifty percent more and the replacement only offers a connecting flight, which is what I specifically paid extra to avoid. That's not fair at all. Instead of refunding my full payment back to my card, they gave me partial credit and took away nearly six hundred dollars. I shouldn't be punished financially for their mistake. I want what I originally booked or my money back completely.
This company failed to keep customers safe at a property I booked through them in Jamaica. During my stay someone tried to break into my room. When that didn't work he urinated and defecated right outside my door. I told resort staff right away. Security got him away from my door but then let him go back to his room without any punishment. The manager told me the next day she had no power to make things right. When I contacted the resort corporate office they said it wasn't their problem and sent me back to this company. Their response was to offer a hundred fifty dollar travel credit for this disgusting and scary incident. That's not acceptable and totally dismissive. This was a serious safety issue with the property they advertised as secure and all-inclusive. They failed to make sure there were real consequences when something major went wrong. Offering a small credit like that makes light of what happened and shows they only care about the money.
This company is the bad apple of the bunch. We arranged our honeymoon in Aruba at a specific resort but it was disappointing. The company couldn't have cared less about our experience.
Just got back from staying at a resort and discovered there had been no hot water in any of the rooms for two weeks. We didn't have hot water for the first five days of our stay. It would have been nice if this company had warned us before we left so we could have chosen to reschedule.
The service here is unbelievably bad. My husband got diagnosed with cancer just a week before our scheduled departure. His treatment needed to start the exact day we were leaving. We didn't want to travel to a foreign country with him in his condition and risk him getting worse. We bought travel insurance but they've been fighting us for months about a refund. They only want to give us a travel credit that expires in a year. We have no idea where his treatment will put us in a year so we're not even sure we'll be able to travel then. It seems like once they took our money they have zero interest in actually refunding it. I can't believe how uncaring this business is about anything except keeping what we paid. I will never work with them again. I'm going to tell everyone I know about how they treated us.
There is basically no customer service. Their website wouldn't process my payment and then I got an error when trying to look at my itinerary that was already paid for. The resort details and amenity information was old and they didn't mention that the property bans smoking everywhere including outside. Our vacation got totally ruined. Do not book with this company. They were decent a decade ago but now they're just ripping people off.
If negative stars were an option I would use them without hesitation. I've used this company before without problems so I booked with them again. Within a week my flights got changed and then cancelled. When I reached out for a refund they made it difficult. They told me once I found new flights they'd help me out and give me a discount. I did that and was told no discount was available, plus flight prices are now sky high. My new itinerary showed I was charged a fee for not paying in full. I also got charged for what's supposed to be complimentary ground transport according to their website. That's just the beginning. After all these changes I can't even access my trip details online anymore. I can't see my booking, can't make payments, nothing. It says to contact support, and I've been trying for seven days. Chat support won't help and just tells you to call. Calling routes you to a text chat option which is useless, then tells you to call again. I've been calling for hours waiting for someone and nobody picks up.
Run far away from this company. This place is a total ripoff. We arranged a trip to Cancun for six people and bought their travel protection plan. Three days before we were supposed to leave, one person injured their knee badly and couldn't go. I called right away to let them know. I ended up spending six hours on the phone while they made adjustments. It's now been over two weeks and I still don't have my travel credits. Every single day I'm calling and spending hours on hold. Their agents keep saying they need to wait for the resort to respond about the refund amount. Why would I need to wait for the resort when I paid for protection? No one can answer that. What if the resort refuses to refund anything? What good is travel protection then? I also sent them all the medical paperwork from the emergency room proving the person couldn't travel. This has been a terrible experience. Don't use them.
