I ordered KT Tape's Continuous Glucose Monitor patches to keep my Dexcom G7 sensor in place. Right away, I ran into problems. The backing peels off in a way that makes it super easy to mess up the alignment, and getting it applied correctly took me about 10 minutes of fussing around. The patch itself is also noticeably bulkier than the original Dexcom patch that came with my sensor. I figured maybe I'd get better at it with time, but that wasn't even the main issue. After just a week, the patch started peeling off. Since the sensor is supposed to last 11 days, losing the patch before that defeats the whole purpose of having it secure. I'm really let down by how this turned out.
