Just came back from the Lewisville store. Usually I go to the Denton location which is fantastic. All the crew there are knowledgeable and always willing to help out. If you need car audio work, I'd definitely recommend going to either of these spots. Top notch service.

These folks will absolutely lie to you and won't hesitate to upsell while they have your vehicle torn apart and you're stuck depending on them. They botched an expensive stereo installation that left my car unable to operate. Now they're refusing to fix it, claiming they're under new ownership and won't honor the original warranty even though they use the same company name, same storefront, and same building. Total scam artists.

Car Toys pulled a classic bait and switch on me. They quoted one price after inspecting the job, but when I dropped the car off, they said it would cost double. Even though I had gone over everything with them beforehand, they claimed the work was more involved than expected. The employee lied and the store manager didn't do anything about it. I had used them before at another location before they closed down. Clearly the company's honesty has gone downhill since their financial troubles. Don't trust them or you'll get ripped off.

Do not shop here under any circumstances. I gave them a $600 deposit on a $1,600 sound system back in August. They said they needed to order a part and the manager would call when it arrived. Never got that call, so I went to the store and found out they'd already gone out of business in August. They knew that when they took my money. The new owners took over and are just as bad as the original ones. They won't honor anything from before.

Absolutely no customer service at this company. Our system broke and they cashed the extended warranty check, then refused to install a replacement unit. Completely dishonorable behavior. Stay away from them. The new owners won't return calls. Their business practices are inexcusable.

Found this site after searching online and got a fantastic deal on an air intake I needed to complete my truck setup. Had already bought other components direct but wanted to finish things off with this piece. The only issue was the website didn't show it had shipped. I sent them a quick message and got a fast reply. Turned out Direct Freight handles shipping and the item came straight from the manufacturer in Australia rather than from their warehouse. Delivery was quick and the product quality is outstanding with perfect fit. Definitely worth ordering from here.

It's been four months without a working stereo because they said it needed to be sent out for repair instead of being swapped out under the $400 four year no questions asked warranty I paid for. I'm never spending another dime there and I'm going to tell everyone I know to take their business somewhere else. Every time I call looking for answers, I get attitude from employees who tell me to call back later because apparently managers are never there. That's pretty convenient. I paid for the warranty so they need to honor it. I even offered to put more money toward a better unit and they still won't help. I paid $5300 for the original installation of this $980 system and I'm beyond frustrated.

Had a great visit at the Tigard store. The manager and assistant manager were both super nice, professional, and went out of their way to help. They tried to fix an audio issue on my vehicle but couldn't get it working. Even though they didn't solve the problem, the whole experience was excellent. Really appreciate the effort they put in.

Got a dash camera with a rear view camera last October. The back camera didn't work from day one, and nobody even tested the system when they installed it. Took it back to the local store and the technician couldn't figure out the problem. I was told they'd order a replacement and it would be ready in a day or two. Called three days later and was informed it hadn't arrived yet and I shouldn't call back. Waited over a week with no word. Called customer service and was promised a call within 24 hours but never got one. When I finally went back in and asked for a removal and refund, suddenly the camera was in stock and had been for five days. Got the cameras swapped but before leaving the parking lot I checked the app and the rear one still wasn't working. Asked the tech to check again and he just said the light turned on. The system still wasn't fixed.

Had two alarm systems installed at Car Toys and struggled with follow-up service for quite a while. Recently visited the Lynnwood store and was impressed when the manager quickly had one of the technicians help me out. As someone who takes my vehicle security seriously, I really valued that quick response and attention to detail.

I'd definitely recommend this location without any hesitation. Compared to other shops I've visited, the customer service here really stands out. The team was always there when I needed help and really knew their stuff. Derek was especially great answering all my questions in a way that made sense. This place has set a new standard for what good service should be.

Went in to have a CD player installed in my vehicle. They said they could only get one model and ordered it. Turned out it wasn't compatible with my car. They made me pay for both the player and the installation anyway and refused to take the player back. Horrible experience. Won't be going back.

Watch out for this location. I trusted them to install a backup camera, new radio, and sound system on my car. Big mistake. During installation they drilled holes through the firewall and trunk to run the wiring. Water started leaking through those holes and flooded the interior, which fried the wiring and destroyed the engine control unit. I'm looking at $9000 in repairs and counting. I've called the manager multiple times. He acknowledged the problem, spoke with my mechanic, and asked for pictures and quotes which I provided. Still no response from them. Don't let this happen to you.

Paid for a detailing service at their Parker location and basically got nothing. The vehicle wasn't vacuumed, the steering wheel and center areas were still filthy, and there was trash left on the seats. All they did was maybe a quick wipe of the dashboard. Total waste of money and time. Go somewhere else for your detailing needs.

The Tigard store has some excellent management. I went back the day after talking to someone who wasn't very helpful. Sean, a manager who transferred from another location, talked me through what I actually needed instead of what I originally came in for. Turns out a new Kenwood deck would solve all my problems. We set up an appointment for Saturday installation. Manager Fernando confirmed everything on Friday. On Saturday a different employee was there and seemed annoyed about a previous interaction, but Jordan, an amazing installer, took over and wouldn't let that guy touch my truck. Jordan said he wasn't even certified anyway. Jordan did excellent work on the Kenwood unit. Sean was totally right about this deck. It does everything I need and then some. The manual is clear and easy to follow. Much better than the Pioneer I thought was better initially.
