Nordic Ware Reviews
Nordic Ware shoppers report serious durability issues with nonstick coatings, with multiple reviewers describing peeling or chunking after minimal use. A 14-inch wok and baking pans both experienced coating failure within the first 10 uses, rendering products unusable according to reviewers. One positive note comes from a shopper who praised the company's return process after eventually obtaining a refund, though that same reviewer found other products like stainless steel kabob skewers to be flimsy and poorly designed.
While some shoppers appreciate the even baking results from Nordic Ware's baking pans, the nonstick coating problems appear to be a dealbreaker at the price point. The company's willingness to process returns is offset by concerns about product quality and the need to be persistent when seeking refunds. Shoppers considering Nordic Ware products should weigh the attractive baking performance against reports of coating degradation and inconsistent build quality.
Bought the 14 inch non-stick wok and it's been a huge disappointment. The coating peels right off and the thing weighs a ton. Once the peeling started, I basically can't use it anymore because I don't want the coating ending up in my food. This product is basically unusable. Worst purchase I've made in a long time.
Got these baking pans as a Christmas present. A couple had small dents which was annoying, but the real problem showed up pretty quickly. After using the big pan about 10 times, the non-stick coating started coming off in chunks. The baking results are really even and nice, but at this price point I can't justify dealing with a coating that falls apart after just a few months of use. Can't recommend them based on quality and durability.
Had to push pretty hard to get them to take back my defective item, but they eventually came through and processed a return without too much hassle. That said, the stainless steel kabob skewer I ordered is really disappointing - it's flimsy, bends too easily, and won't stay flat on the counter, which is nothing like their aluminum baking sheets that hold up great. My experience with all the other aluminum pans in that order was excellent. Glad they fixed the situation in the end.
