It was decent at first, but now it's drowning in pop-up ads. What used to be one ad per night has become roughly one every hour. My system has also been getting random software installed that I didn't approve of, and I'm pretty confident this antivirus program is the culprit.

On Windows 10, this software caused blue screen crashes. When I investigated, I discovered it was interfering with critical Windows system files. I tried removing it but it wouldn't uninstall properly. This made it impossible to install Windows Defender, so I had to completely reformat my hard drive. What a worthless piece of software.

The real issue isn't just that the removal process is complicated. The problem is that it embeds itself deep into Windows like a virus and can't be fully removed. Parts of the core stay behind even after uninstalling the main application. Over time, this leftover core secretly fetches and reinstalls the full program automatically. Because 360 spreads these components across multiple hard drive locations and partitions, a fresh Windows installation might not even clear everything. A complete hard drive format is the only guaranteed way to get rid of it entirely.

This operates like actual malware, not a legitimate antivirus. It refuses to be removed and automatically reinstalls itself. There's a registry key called 'stay alive' that seems to be how it brings itself back after you delete it. The system tray component also restarts on its own after removal. Steer completely clear of this malware.

The customer service here is basically nonexistent. I used their free antivirus for years, then upgraded to their paid version about a year ago during a promotional offer. When I tried to update my payment information to a new card recently, I found the option was disabled. Support never responded to my first email. When they finally got back to me, they informed me they'd cancelled my premium account without asking or notifying me beforehand. They told me to just repurchase the software with a different card. This is absolutely unacceptable and shows zero respect for customers. I reached out urgently multiple times but heard nothing. A few days later I requested account deletion because I'm done with this product and won't be recommending it to anyone. What's really insulting is the same support person who killed my premium license then answered my deletion request with just a confirmation that it was done, no explanation or apology. Completely disrespectful.

I tested out 360 Total Security before committing to a purchase. The performance impact was minimal and it ran pretty smoothly on my machine. Then out of nowhere, I started getting bombarded with Taboola advertisements through the software. These pop-ups were way more annoying than anything else I'd experienced. That was enough for me to decide against buying it and look for something better without all the ad spam.

Really great software and I honestly don't get why people say it's confusing or bloated. It's totally manageable and really practical. It's a fantastic program with excellent pricing. I've been running it for many years and it's been solid whether using the free or premium versions. My only request would be that during installation it doesn't automatically suggest and install the Opera browser.

Solid program and I'm not sure why so many people complain about it being cluttered or hard to navigate. It's actually pretty straightforward and very functional. It's a strong option at a great price. I've relied on it for years now, and it performed well both as a free version and after I bought the premium edition. One thing I'd appreciate is if the installer didn't automatically bundle in the Opera browser during setup.
