Arc Studio Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Arc Studio
Arc Studio receives sharply divided feedback, with passionate advocates and frustrated detractors. Satisfied users praise the software's clean interface, automatic formatting, real-time collaboration features, and responsive customer support. They value the free tier for getting started and consider the paid pricing fair. However, a significant group of dissatisfied customers reports serious issues: extended unannounced downtime without transparent communication, and hidden costs where advertised PRO features require additional credit purchases not disclosed upfront.
The polarized ratings reflect two distinct user experiences. Supporters highlight the intuitive design and organizational tools that streamline screenwriting workflows. Critics cite poor communication during service disruptions and pricing practices that feel misleading. The lack of advance notice for maintenance and the discovery of unexpected expenses are the primary pain points for negative reviewers.
Customer Reviews (9)
Sorted by: Most recentThe site went down for more than 17 hours and nobody told us what was happening. The last communication we got was 14 hours in, and then radio silence. They say it was a scheduled maintenance, but if that were true, they should have given advance notice so we could back up our work and download our scripts. The way they handled this - no transparency, no updates - was totally unprofessional. I'm done with this service and moving my scripts elsewhere once things are back online.
Be careful with the PRO tier. They advertise certain features at that price point, but then you discover you need to buy extra credits to actually use them. This wasn't made clear upfront, and it feels like a hidden cost.
This is hands down the best screenwriting software I've ever worked with. Everything about it just works - the interface is super clean, formatting happens automatically, and the outlining tools are incredibly powerful. What really stands out is being able to collaborate in real time with others. The price point is fair, and whenever I need help, the support team comes through. I tell everyone to check it out.
This is my go-to script writing software. They offer a free version with solid basics to get started, and then a paid tier that adds some really valuable extra features.
Arc Studio has been a game changer for my screenwriting. The interface is intuitive and lets you get right to work. You don't have to think about formatting because it handles all that automatically. The collaboration in real time is such a useful feature when you're working with writing partners. The organizational tools really help keep everything structured and on track. If you're serious about writing scripts, this is the tool for you.
I've been using this for two years and it just keeps getting better. The software itself is outstanding, and the customer support team is incredibly fast to respond when you reach out. Really impressed with how they keep improving it.
I've asked multiple times to stop getting their emails and have done everything they say to unsubscribe, but their messages keep showing up in my inbox. It's frustrating that they're not respecting my preference to opt out of their communications. You should be able to control what you get sent.
They charged my card a second year without asking me first. I never gave permission for that renewal. When my original card expired, they somehow got my new card details and ran the charge on their own. If I'd wanted to keep using the service, I would have provided the updated information myself. This was not okay, and I'm upset they took it upon themselves to process a payment I didn't authorize.
Affordable and easy to use script writing software. I did notice a couple of small glitches like the cursor position being off sometimes, but they're really minor issues and the support team is responsive. The main reason I picked this was the cloud backups, which is huge since other options seem to want you doing manual backups on your computer.
