Berkshire Blanket & Home Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Berkshire Blanket & Home
Berkshire Blanket and Home is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 11 shoppers, with reviews sharply divided between highly satisfied long-term customers and frustrated buyers. The small group of positive reviewers praise the softness and comfort of the blankets, affordability, and reliability, with some noting years of loyal patronage. However, the overwhelming majority of reviews cite significant issues: fleece sheets that shed excessively even after proper washing and months of use, high return shipping costs that can exceed half the purchase price since the company does not provide prepaid labels, and unavailable replacement parts (such as cords for heated blankets) despite these items being manufactured by the company.
The most consistent complaint centers on the return policy, with multiple shoppers reporting that return shipping costs made returns economically unfeasible. Additionally, at least one reviewer experienced a product quality issue with a heated blanket that raised safety concerns. The stark contrast between five-star and one-star ratings suggests highly inconsistent customer experiences or expectations.

Sorted by: Most recentThe fleece sheets I bought have been constantly shedding fleece all over the bed, my clothes, everything. It's gotten bad enough that I think it's actually making me congested. I've washed them according to all their care instructions, and after months of regular use and washing, they still shed like crazy. I went through their complaint process, got a case number, sent photos and detailed descriptions of the problem as they requested. Their final suggestion was to hang them outside, and then they just closed my case without actually fixing anything. This material is really poor quality, and their customer service wasn't helpful at all. I can't recommend this company based on either the product quality or how they handle complaints.
I realized I'd ordered the wrong color before my blanket even got here, so I contacted them right away. They said I'd have to cover the return shipping myself, which I wasn't thrilled about but could accept. Then I found out returning it would cost about sixty dollars when the blanket itself was only eighty-five dollars. That seemed really unfair. When I called to complain, they told me I could use a smaller box, even though their own return instructions say to use original packaging. The whole situation felt rude and completely unreasonable.
Been a loyal customer for years and these products never disappoint. They're incredibly soft, affordable, and I finally don't have to worry about staying warm through the winter. Highly satisfied!
Their return policy is really disappointing. They don't provide return shipping or a label, so I had to pay UPS to send my item back myself. The shipping cost ended up being more than half of what I paid for the order. That's not fair to customers. I definitely won't be purchasing from them again, and I'd tell anyone thinking about ordering to make sure you're completely happy with what you buy before it arrives. The return policy alone is a major dealbreaker.
Purchased a new heated blanket from Berkshire at Costco and unfortunately within two days my dog chewed through the cord, even though I hadn't used it yet. Since it unplugs, I thought no big deal and called to order a replacement cord. That's when they told me they don't sell replacement cords. It seems odd to me since they clearly manufacture them as separate parts and could charge full price for a replacement. This feels like poor customer service when a simple solution was available.
I'm not sure why some people are leaving bad reviews, but my experience was great! The service was fantastic, delivery was quick, and I'm really happy with the comfort of what I bought. This store is awesome!
Got a sheet set that arrived in terrible condition. The zipper on the package was ripped open, the zipper itself was broken, and the sheets were crumpled up inside the bag. One pillowcase was missing completely. It looked like the sheets had already been used. I sent seven photos to the company and explained that I paid full price and didn't want to accept used merchandise. We went back and forth through three emails but nothing got fixed. They kept saying it wasn't a quality problem. I shouldn't have to accept sheets that might've been slept on when I'm paying full retail. Do yourself a favor and don't order from them. Their customer service is just making excuses.
This company's customer service is terrible, honestly. I've contacted them three separate times about issues with three blankets I'm stuck with, and nothing's been resolved. I started the whole process back in early December and nobody's actually helping me. During my last conversation, a representative even told me it would cost me six dollars just to process a refund. At that point I didn't even care about the refund anymore; I just wanted to return these three defective blankets. I've never had this much trouble returning problematic items to any other company.
Ordered a brown/beige blanket (2 of them) and received purple instead. When I reached out to customer service, the rep claimed the website photos looked brown to him and asked me to send pictures. After I did, they told me I got the right item. Their excuse? Studio photos can vary in color. Then they suggested that once the blanket is in your home, the color somehow changes. That makes no sense. A brown blanket doesn't magically turn purple during shipping. They should've just admitted their website needs better color representation, or at minimum add more specific color details instead of just calling it Fire Pit. I don't know anyone who thinks purple when they hear fire pit. When I asked for a return label, they refused, saying I changed my mind. That's not what happened at all. I ordered brown, not purple. Eventually they agreed to send a prepaid label, but this whole situation felt like false advertising to me. If you order something brown, you should get brown.
Got a throw but the color wasn't quite what I expected. I filled out the return form with the address on it and sent it back. The blanket itself was only thirty dollars, but shipping it back cost me almost fifteen. When I called Berkshire, they mentioned I could use a different carrier, but that option wasn't listed on their return form. Most other companies provide printed paid labels, which makes returns way easier. Paying nearly half the item's price to return it just isn't acceptable. I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on.
