What Shoppers Say About Buckle
Buckle's reviews are highly polarized, with shoppers either praising exceptional in-store service or expressing frustration with company policies and inconsistent customer care. Positive reviewers highlight staff members who provide personalized attention, remember repeat customers, and offer helpful product recommendations that drive purchases. However, negative reviews center on three main issues: misleading warranty claims, serious problems with the store's credit card provider charging fees on closed accounts and damaging credit scores, and inconsistent service quality where some locations ignore customers entirely. Price and product style also draw criticism from shoppers who feel competing brands like American Eagle offer better value and more current designs.
The store's reputation appears heavily dependent on individual staff performance rather than consistent company practices. While some customers become loyal advocates based on their interactions with particular employees, others have been significantly harmed by policies around warranties and credit card handling. The credit card complaints in particular suggest a systemic issue that extends beyond the store itself but reflects poorly on Buckle's choice of financial partner.

Sorted by: Most recentOrdered a pair of rock revival jeans because I was told they had a warranty. Bought them back in January but was later told the warranty doesn't exist. Complete lie. Closing my credit card with them and never shopping there again. Worst customer service ever.
Giving Buckle a one star based on their credit card provider. DO NOT APPLY FOR THEIR CREDIT CARD. The bank that handles it is a total scam and will charge you late fees on closed accounts. Buckle should seriously consider finding a different card company or suing this bank for all the customers whose credit has been damaged.
Derek at the store location is absolutely fantastic. We don't live near the area but visit regularly, and having him assist my husband and me is always a highlight. His personality is genuine, he's super patient, and best of all he actually remembers us every time we come in. Makes us feel like valued customers. We genuinely look forward to seeing him again.
Went to the Meridian location and spent ten minutes browsing with zero assistance. Saw two staff members working but they just ignored me. I even said out loud to my husband that nobody was helping and still got nothing. Never experienced service like that before, especially compared to how things work out west.
Ashley and her team went above and beyond for me. She's got an awesome personality and her team reflects that same energy. Honestly a fantastic manager who really knows how to train people right. Been looking for fun-style jeans in my size and her recommendations hit the mark. Ended up getting three pairs because of how great the whole experience was. Definitely coming back soon.
Pretty underwhelmed overall. Felt overpriced compared to other brands. American Eagle skinny jeans are my go-to because they're cheaper, last longer, and look better after washing. The style here just isn't as modern. Once you wear skinny jeans you really see how goofy the baggy look can appear.
I really do love the styles they offer, but the durability is concerning. Two pairs I got six months ago already have holes in them. I've still got jeans from my school days that are ten years old, so I guess that's my benchmark. The clothes look amazing though, I just wish they'd hold up better.
Staff is always available when I need something. My only complaint is that they can be a little too pushy with sales tactics.
I've grabbed seven or more pairs of jeans plus several shirts over the years. Had to send back one item for a credit and the whole process was smooth. Their designs are current and trendy, and the customer service team is solid. Sure, prices run a bit high and sometimes my size isn't available, but my overall experience has been solid and I'll definitely order again.
Huge disappointment and waste of money. Paid over twenty bucks for overnight shipping and it showed up three days later. When I called to complain they said I must have ordered it later than I thought. One shirt came with a giant stain on it and still had the security tag attached. Customer service basically didn't care. Shop somewhere else.
