What Shoppers Say About Buckle
Buckle's reviews are highly polarized, with shoppers either praising exceptional in-store service or expressing frustration with company policies and inconsistent customer care. Positive reviewers highlight staff members who provide personalized attention, remember repeat customers, and offer helpful product recommendations that drive purchases. However, negative reviews center on three main issues: misleading warranty claims, serious problems with the store's credit card provider charging fees on closed accounts and damaging credit scores, and inconsistent service quality where some locations ignore customers entirely. Price and product style also draw criticism from shoppers who feel competing brands like American Eagle offer better value and more current designs.
The store's reputation appears heavily dependent on individual staff performance rather than consistent company practices. While some customers become loyal advocates based on their interactions with particular employees, others have been significantly harmed by policies around warranties and credit card handling. The credit card complaints in particular suggest a systemic issue that extends beyond the store itself but reflects poorly on Buckle's choice of financial partner.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir jeans work great for me since I'm taller. They have longer inseams and they're really comfortable.
Buckle doesn't seem to offer a real exchange program, so be careful if you order the wrong size. I paid seven dollars shipping to receive the shorts. Then they charged me another seven to return the wrong size. And guess what, another seven to get the right size shipped out. Called their support team hoping they'd at least waive the return shipping since I was getting a replacement, but they said no way. The selection is solid and items arrive quickly, but dropping twenty-one dollars on shipping fees is rough. I feel like they took advantage of the fact that I really wanted these shorts and couldn't find them elsewhere. An actual fair exchange policy would bring back repeat customers. Making people pay to return an order to get the correct item seems like price gouging. Getting my refund back through my payment plan has been a headache too because Buckle deducted the seven dollars shipping from what they refunded. Overall this has been a bad experience and I regret it.
The stores are terrible. Online might be fine, but in person is awful. Staff are always hovering and making you uncomfortable. I've also noticed they seem to profile customers. You can't even browse without someone rushing over the second you grab something, asking about fitting rooms like they think you're going to steal. I stopped going to any of their locations because of this behavior. Every single store has been the same way. They really need to fix this.
Had a really frustrating experience after buying three pairs of jeans. Got them home, took the tags off the next day (paid 169 bucks), and decided the light wash wasn't right for me since I prefer darker colors. Threw them back in the bag with tags and receipt intact and brought them to the store for an exchange. The staff said they looked dirty and refused a refund, even accused me of wearing them. They were rude about it and only offered an exchange, but they didn't have my size so I had to wait for them to order it. Email came through saying my jeans arrived, so I went to pick them up. Tried them on and they were okay, then decided to try some other styles in the fitting room. Left those I didn't want in there and went to the register for a bag. One of the three girls working told me she'd put my jeans in a bag but asked what I did with the ones I tried on. I said they were still in the fitting room. She then made this comment about people stealing, which felt like she was accusing me.
Love shopping here. The customer service is outstanding and the company really knows how to do business the right way. Keep it up.
My daughter and I stopped by the store at the local mall in Bossier City last March. A sales rep named Destinee was absolutely wonderful and super helpful for someone like me who was clearly uncomfortable shopping for teenage girl clothes. She had such a positive attitude and really took time to help my daughter find things she liked. Made the whole trip way better than I expected when we first walked in.
Bought ten pairs of jeans and spent a fortune, but they didn't even last a year. Total waste of money.
Disappointed with the quality drop. Used to love shopping here, but that's changed. Every pair of jeans I've bought recently falls apart or tears in weird spots that have nothing to do with normal wear. For a brand that should be premium denim, this is unacceptable. When I reached out about the defects, customer service wouldn't help. I'm done with them.
