Never showed up. Nobody from the company bothered to reach out to me about it. I had to chase them down myself just to get different excuses and missed dates. My stuff finally arrived two months later in late January with zero apology or explanation. Won't be ordering from here again. Looking back, I should've just done a credit card chargeback when it didn't show up.
Got a necklace as a gift and the designs are really cute with some nice dainty options available. The chains are really pretty. The only thing is that the gold on the pendants scratches pretty easily for my taste, but overall the quality seems decent for the price point.
I had an absolutely awful experience with a pair of earrings. One of the clasps was broken and the earring got stuck in my ear and required surgical removal this week. These weren't inexpensive earrings and they were supposed to be a birthday gift. What should've been something special turned into a painful and traumatic medical situation. For what Catbird charges, their jewelry should meet basic safety and quality standards, but they completely failed on that front. I'm cautioning anyone thinking about ordering from them that their quality control seems dangerously inadequate. Plus their customer service doesn't take any responsibility for what they're selling.
I really liked shopping with Catbird and had purchased from them before, so leaving a bad review isn't something I wanted to do. But my recent experience with their customer service team makes me unable to recommend them, especially if you're buying wedding bands. Look through the reviews and you'll see a lot of others talking about the same kinds of problems I had. They quoted us 4-6 weeks to resize our wedding rings after we got them back (a sales rep at our in-store visit actually suggested we resize them so we'd have the right sizes for the big day). At the 6 week mark we checked in both online and in person. Nobody replied online, and in person we basically got told to follow up on the website. We tried again and it took multiple attempts just to get a response - and that's when they told us one of our two rings never even entered their resizing system and we'd wait another four weeks. Still haven't heard anything about the other ring either. They did eventually say that second order also wasn't properly entered and we're looking at an extra 6-8 weeks on top of that. Still waiting.
Things have gone downhill for me here. I used to shop with them regularly and had good experiences up until this year. Then I purchased a gorgeous engagement ring but got the size wrong, which was on me. The issue started when I tried to get the correct size. Ordered the replacement back in June with a promised ship date of late July. That seemed fine but end of June rolls around and nothing ships. I reach out asking for an update and get told they'll check with shipping. Nothing. Follow up again, get the same promise to look into it with shipping. Still nothing. At this point I had no choice but to dispute it through my credit card company, which is still being processed.
Been a loyal Catbird customer for a decade and have always loved their Sweet Nothing collection. I've repurchased that ring every couple years since they get lost easily, but I'm okay with it because I adore it and it's affordable. This most recent purchase is really different though and not in a good way. The color, sparkle, and how it's put together are noticeably different. My older rings and matching necklace are bright yellow gold with lots of shimmer and look flawless. This new one is a lighter shade of gold, duller looking, and has a visible jump ring that makes it look cheap. The customer service person did say I could return and rebuy with my birthday discount honored, but I'm hesitant because switching suppliers probably means they're all like this now. Went to leave a thoughtful review on their site hoping they'd be open to feedback, but I couldn't post anything. There's clearly plenty of unhappy people out there and while I get that supply chain stuff is tough these days, the new version just isn't worth what they're charging compared to what it used to be. Wanted them and potential buyers to know that.
Total scam! Got a ring that arrived damaged. Sent it back for repairs and it's been four months since I first ordered it. Still don't have my ring.
Total rip-off. The jewelry caused my ear to get this awful scab and I had to go to urgent care to have it removed with a needle. Tiny piece of junk probably worth pocket change. Don't bother with it. Just garbage.
Customer service basically doesn't exist. My order never arrived and when I complained about it repeatedly, they never once got back to me. Really let down. I've spent money here before, but I'm done shopping with them.
