What Shoppers Say About Collectors’ Choice Music
Collectors' Choice Music has received uniformly negative feedback from shoppers, with all reviews rating the store at one star. Customers report serious operational issues including damaged items upon arrival, unresponsive customer service that fails to address problems within reasonable timeframes, and allegations of incomplete orders where missing items cannot be recovered due to the company's insistence on proof after delivery. Additionally, shoppers describe aggressive and persistent direct mail marketing practices, with customers reporting difficulty getting the company to honor requests to stop sending unsolicited catalogs despite multiple complaints and follow-ups.
The recurring theme across reviews is poor customer service responsiveness and what reviewers perceive as deliberately unfavorable policies that work against consumers. Customers express frustration with a lack of accountability, delayed responses to damage claims, and an unwillingness to resolve disputes. Based on available feedback, shoppers consistently advise others to purchase from alternative retailers.

Sorted by: Most recentMy order showed up damaged and the item I wanted is currently out of stock. After waiting over a month, I haven't heard anything about what happens next. I'd recommend shopping elsewhere.
I'm calling this company out as a scam. They deliberately don't include everything in your order. When you get your package and notice items are missing, you file a complaint and their answer is always to prove it. That's impossible once it's delivered. They won't budge without proof, so they get away with keeping your money. I lost over $120 in products and fees on a $524 order. I'm done with them permanently. If you want better service, try places like Zia Records, most Discogs vendors, most eBay sellers, or Amazon. For online marketplaces, stick with sellers that have ratings of 99.8% or higher.
Please don't share your address with this company. Without asking for permission, they started flooding my mailbox with thick catalogs full of stuff I have zero interest in. I called and wrote multiple times asking them to stop. They kept saying it would end, but the catalogs kept coming. Each time I complained, they gave me excuses about printing timelines or claimed they'd already told me. This is a terrible business that keeps wasting resources and lying to customers who never signed up for this in the first place. Keep your personal information away from them.
