What Shoppers Say About Close
Close receives polarized feedback, with shoppers split sharply between strong supporters and disappointed users. Positive reviewers praise Close as a solid CRM option for smaller businesses and sales teams, particularly highlighting its API capabilities, integration options, and ability to streamline sales workflows. Five-star reviewers report the platform has simplified their work and ranks among top CRM choices for phone-heavy operations.
Negative reviews point to significant technical and support issues. Common complaints include a malfunctioning iPhone app with slow performance and frequent call drops, a broken search function that prioritizes poor results, and frustration with account lockouts during trial sign-ups. Several one-star reviewers also cite non-responsive customer support and overly restrictive security practices that hindered their ability to evaluate the platform.

Sorted by: Most recentThis ranks among the top CRM options for smaller businesses and teams that work heavily with phones. The API and integration capabilities are outstanding and pretty essential in today's market.
The iPhone app is really disappointing. Everything runs slowly and calls frequently cut out or stutter, making it nearly impossible to have a proper conversation.
We tried signing up to test this CRM for our B2B sales team and immediately hit a wall. Their security system locked our trial account within hours, before we could even explore the platform. Their support team responded with generic boilerplate asking for personal LinkedIn information and sensitive data just to access a trial. We politely declined and asked again, only to get the exact same copy-paste answer from another support person who clearly didn't read our message. A CRM designed to manage customer relationships should be able to actually manage customer relationships. If your security flags legitimate new users and support only knows how to send templates, something is seriously wrong with your onboarding. We're an established company with years of operation and actual customers, yet couldn't get past the trial setup. We've since moved on to HubSpot Sales Hub, which gave us immediate access, actual human support, and treated us like a real prospect instead of a threat.
Don't bother with this one. The whole system feels broken, customer support is basically non-existent, and the platform itself just doesn't work well. GHL is a much better choice.
The search function is absolutely broken. Searching for a domain name often puts exact matches way down the list because of some gimmicky AI that prioritizes things with similar words in titles. The whole thing needs to be replaced with basic search logic. This has been a problem for months with nobody addressing it. Plus if you're working quickly and switch folders then search fast, the system will revert your search terms to whatever you had before, which means wrong results. This tool feels like it was built without any real testing.
I've been really happy with Close. It's simplified my job as a Sales Exec and made things run a lot more smoothly.
This used to be my favorite CRM, but things have gone downhill fast. The new lead page they switched to killed my productivity, and now there are major issues: missing key features, bugs popping up constantly without proper testing, slower load times, confusing dropdown menus, and the whole thing feels clunky. Worst part is support just sends template responses instead of actually helping with problems. They really damaged what was once a great product.
Canceling a trial is unnecessarily complicated unless you go through support. The whole process feels intentionally deceptive.
If you don't need everything HubSpot offers, Close is definitely the way to go for managing your sales pipeline. We connected it with Intercom using Zapier and everything runs smoothly without any issues.
