What Shoppers Say About Cuddledown
Cuddledown has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 20 reviews averaging 1.1 out of 5. The most consistent complaints center on severe customer service failures, including long shipping delays lasting weeks or months, poor communication about order status, and frustrating return and exchange processes. Shoppers report being transferred repeatedly when seeking support, receiving wrong items without resolution, and facing confusing policies around return shipping costs that exceed standard shipping charges. Additionally, the store's Rewards Program has drawn criticism for its $19.95 monthly fee, slow claim processing of two to four weeks, and unclear terms that some describe as deceptive.
Product quality issues compound these service problems. Reviewers report items arriving in incorrect sizes with no follow-through on promised exchanges, high-end pillows deflating and losing support within months despite premium pricing, and sheets failing at the seams after a single wash. Technical issues with the website also frustrate shoppers, including an inability to create accounts for repeat purchases, lack of order login access, and general site usability problems. The combination of unreliable logistics, unresponsive customer support, questionable product durability at premium prices, and website functionality gaps has left shoppers with little confidence in the brand.

Sorted by: Most recentTheir customer service stinks and they charge way too much for shipping. They inflate the delivery cost on the original order, then slap you with a $10 return fee when most items could be mailed for much less.
Two problems here. The fitted sheet is way too big. Plus they charged me $19.95 per month plus tax without me actually signing up for anything. Really shady. When I got in touch, they did stop the charges and gave me a refund. But don't get caught in their trap.
Their products are quality, but their customer service is absolutely terrible. I bought several items from them and was satisfied until I needed help with an order. On one purchase, I accidentally swapped my shipping and billing addresses. I called to get it corrected and had a really frustrating conversation with the agent who seemed confused about what I needed. Eventually I thought we'd fixed it, but they never sent confirmation and weeks went by with no updates. I couldn't even find my order in their system and eventually gave up, buying from someone else instead. Then today my bank tells me they charged me over $300 from the Cuddledown order. Called them back and got the runaround again. After going in circles, I finally told them I want all charges reversed. This experience has been nothing but a headache.
A few years back I spent around $1500 on an oversized king level 4 duvet from them. It got delivered and we used it, but it never had the thickness or warmth of the lighter comforter we'd replaced. This year we ordered a new duvet cover and realized they'd shipped us the completely wrong size and type from the start. It's noticeably smaller and has way less filling than what we paid for. It's infuriating because now we're stuck and feel ripped off by what's clearly an unprincipled operation. I can't recommend them and won't shop there again. Buyer beware.
Skip Cuddledown and their scammy VIP Service. I shopped there for years but I'm done. They used to be independent and their stuff was solid and made domestically. Then in 2013 the Potpourri Group bought them and they turned into a fraudulent mess. Now ninety-five percent plus of their inventory comes from overseas - they use the word imported as code for Made in China. They charge $25 shipping on tiny orders. Their customer service is literally the worst I've ever seen - it's absolute chaos, like something out of a nightmare. They're based overseas somewhere and completely useless. I could go on forever about the disasters I've had with them recently, but bottom line - do yourself a favor and find nicer bedding elsewhere for way less money. I'd give them a zero or even negative twenty-five if the system allowed it. This whole thing is a scam.
Steer clear of this place! I've filed complaints with authorities and had to get my bank involved just to recover my money after providing extensive documentation. They're extremely untrustworthy and will steal your cash. Before you pay, they're all smiles and super responsive. The second your payment clears, if anything goes wrong, they ghost you completely - no replies to emails or calls. I waited weeks for a response and when someone finally got back to me, they were incredibly rude. It's now been months with zero communication or follow-up. Unprofessional doesn't even begin to cover it. They refuse to take responsibility even when I've shown them proof of their mistakes. There's a reason people trash them online constantly. If you've been burned by them too, contact your bank immediately.
The items themselves are decent, but this company is a complete headache. Their customer service people have poor English skills and I've never been able to get any real issues resolved. Their rebate program is totally fraudulent and should be shut down by regulators. Getting the rebate supposedly requires proof of order, but their confirmations don't have dates on them and they refuse to accept the date from the confirmation email. Just avoid them at all costs.
My order never showed up. When I called customer service, the rep said it had been cancelled, which was news to me since no one bothered telling me. She claimed they cancelled it because the billing address was wrong - apparently they don't realize that DC and District of Columbia mean the same thing. After we got that sorted, she launched into this long, pushy, repetitive pitch about some loyalty or savings program connected to major retailers. I kept saying no thanks, but she just restarted the whole spiel. It felt like a total scam. I'm going to be watching my credit card statement like a hawk.
I got automatically enrolled in some monthly program without actually going through a proper signup. They did give me a heads-up before charging and did cancel when I called before the first charge went through. But then their Savings program, which might be an affiliate or something, had an issue where they already had my payment details from my Cuddledown purchase but the phone number doesn't even work and you can't activate the deals. I'm expecting annoying calls with my credit card company in a few weeks.
I bought two sets of supposedly pure cotton sateen sheets on a spring date. They charged $22 for shipping and took three weeks to arrive. These are honestly the roughest, nastiest sheets I've ever owned - they feel like fine grit sandpaper. I even washed the pillowcases hoping it would help, but they just got rougher. When I wanted to send them back, they wanted $10.50 for return shipping. I sent them an email about this but got nothing back. I'm really let down. Never buying from them again.
