What Shoppers Say About Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris receives sharply divided feedback, with most reviewers reporting significant frustrations that overshadow the park's magical appeal. Common complaints center on poor customer service (unprocessed ticket modifications, unresponsive staff handling vehicle damage claims), extremely high prices for food and merchandise, and operational issues (dark theaters with safety concerns, short show durations relative to wait times). A minority of visitors praise the magical atmosphere, themed attractions, entertainment offerings like fireworks and parades, and occasionally exceptional hotel staff and dining venues.
While some reviewers highlight genuinely positive experiences with customer service representatives and the winter holiday ambiance, these positive interactions are outweighed by systemic issues. Shoppers report feeling nickeled-and-dimed throughout their visit, frustrated by advance planning failures, and disappointed by inconsistent service quality. The park's enchanting theming and entertainment value appear real but insufficient to overcome pricing concerns and service reliability problems for most guests.

Sorted by: Most recentTerrible experience. The valet parking damaged my brand new vehicle while putting my bags in the trunk. I had a six hour drive back home and arrived when it was dark so I didn't catch it right away. The next morning when I opened the trunk, the damage was obvious. I took pictures immediately and contacted the hotel to report it. They told me to send an email with photos, which I did. After two weeks they finally got back to me saying since I hadn't reported it before checkout, they couldn't confirm it happened. Now I'm stuck footing the bill for repairs on my own. This is inexcusable - especially at a place charging these rates for a stay. I expected way more professionalism and responsibility.
I had a really annoying situation with Disneyland Paris customer service that other people should know about. I called ahead about a month before my visit to make sure Premier Access Ultimate got added to my ticket. The person I talked to said they'd handle it. Then this week right before I was supposed to go, I checked my account and it wasn't there. When I tried getting it myself, it was sold out. I called back and wasted almost 40 minutes on the phone just to hear they couldn't do anything about it. No one offered a solution, nobody escalated it to a manager, nothing. They basically said to fill out a feedback form after my trip. That's not acceptable. When you mess up on your side, especially when it impacts someone's whole visit and planning, you need to step up and actually fix it. Instead I got the standard 'we're all human mistakes happen' brush-off with zero accountability. This isn't just about a missing add-on - it's about how you treat folks when something goes wrong.
The food pricing is outrageous. I'm disabled and while the staff were nice, the meet and greet part wasn't great even with my priority pass. The merchandise was a total ripoff before we even stepped into the park.
I loved how magical it all felt, the light displays and fireworks, getting to see Santa, the Pixar show, the attractions and the parade parade. The Mickey 4D show was cool but not long enough for the wait. The theater was super dark though and we had to use our phones to see where to sit which wasn't safe. We came for the winter holiday experience and expected chilly wet weather BUT there weren't enough covered spaces anywhere. The strollers were stuck outside getting soaked and packed tightly together. So much of the line waiting was also outside in the rain. Not nearly enough covered places to eat or hang out, not enough drink vendors when you really needed something warm. The food and drink lines were crazy long while standing in the cold and wet, and everything moved at a snail's pace. The park just wasn't ready for winter weather at all. Disneyland Paris needs to think more about what guests actually need. Lots of rides were shut down which was disappointing given how much you're paying - prices are sky high. The restaurants that are all over social media looked nice but the actual food at places like Bistrot Chez Remy wasn't that great. The Pym Kitchen buffet had some good stuff but there wasn't a single hot vegetarian option available.
What an amazing experience with the Disneyland Paris team! I needed to change a name on my reservation and everything went super smoothly. The person I worked with was wonderful and actually seemed genuinely interested in talking about Disney and my upcoming adventure, which made the whole thing feel more special. The change got done and I had my confirmation email in a couple hours. Really impressive service all around!
Newport Bay Hotel deserves major props for hospitality and the general vibe and appearance, plus the food was solid and rooms were fine for how little time you spend in them. The inside and outside pool areas are fantastic. You've got to check out Downtown Restaurant at the Avengers location, seriously top notch. Pym Kitchen didn't impress quite as much, unfortunately served my daughter raw chicken wings which killed what should've been an awesome dining experience. Annette's Dinner had great service and tasty food. The rides, fireworks and park were all fantastic. Overall a really nice getaway.
Would give zero stars if possible - the Disneyland Paris Hotel left us completely let down. Their food service and customer care are terrible. Breakfast was disappointing with basic items missing like glasses at the buffet. You can get this caliber of dining at any modest 2-star hotel worldwide. For what they're charging, it's a total rip-off. As a parent, I'd recommend staying literally anywhere else. Water bottles don't even get refilled here, and they'll charge you 15 euros for one. I've stayed at numerous Disney properties while traveling with my family and I'm honestly stunned by how confident they are about their standards despite the quality being so low. Nothing justified the money we paid for this supposed comfort and magic. The whole thing was a waste.
I'm really upset about what happened during my recent Disneyland Paris trip, which I'd booked through a travel company. My birthday celebration turned into a nightmare thanks to discriminatory behavior, mean comments, and physical aggression from another visitor staying at the hotel. I told staff what happened, but I got no real help or answers. They offered me a FastPass as if that made up for it, which felt totally insulting given what I went through. My whole vacation was destroyed and I felt threatened and hurt. The person who did it got to keep enjoying themselves while I felt scared and upset. The staff didn't take it seriously at all, and I got no real help or money back. A manager at the Castle Club asked me what would make it right, and I explained that my day needed to be made good because it was ruined. Instead of actually helping, they suggested I book an expensive extra stay, which felt rude and dismissive. It's been hours and still no one's followed up with me.
Just got back from Disneyland Paris and honestly I'm pretty let down. The whole place used to feel amazing when you first walked in, like you'd get this rush of excitement. Now there's hardly any character interactions, merchandise selection has dropped off, and if you didn't already know it was Disney you'd think you were at any other theme park. They really need to dial back the commercial side and bring back what made it special. I have no clue why Pandora stuff is absolutely everywhere, and the pricing for everything is just out of control. Plus there aren't enough spots to grab a bite or sit down.
We've stayed at Davy Crockett twice before and always had great experiences. This time around though, everything felt worn out and broken. The mattress was uncomfortable and made sleeping rough. We've been to cheap campsites with better accommodations honestly. They didn't even give us cleaning supplies at check-in - had to buy them at the shop ourselves which was annoying. The toilet door handle was falling apart and made one bathroom unusable. There were also some sewage smells coming into the cabin. The toothbrush holder was crammed into the wall but broken, so it just fell apart whenever you touched it. Disneyland used to be reliable but this visit was a real disappointment.
