What Shoppers Say About The Walt Disney Company
Disney World receives deeply polarized ratings, with shoppers split between strong detractors (50 percent one-star) and loyal supporters (39 percent five-star). Negative reviewers cite high prices that they feel do not justify the quality of service, alongside concerns about the company's corporate decisions and stances on various social and political issues. Several complainants expressed disappointment with Disney's direction and indicated they would seek alternatives.
Positive reviewers, while not detailed in recent excerpts, represent a significant portion of raters at 39 percent five-star feedback. The absence of detailed praise in recent reviews makes it difficult to identify specific strengths, though historically Disney's theme parks and entertainment properties have drawn fans for immersive experiences and beloved characters. The stark division between enthusiasts and critics suggests that satisfaction depends heavily on individual values, expectations regarding pricing, and alignment with the company's public positions.

Sorted by: Most recentDisney's great unless you have an electric vehicle. I visit multiple times yearly and love it there. My son even had his wedding at Epcot. Last weekend we stayed at the Contemporary and I was frustrated to find zero EV chargers available. I drove to Magic Kingdom and only 5 spots exist in the entire lot, and even staff said they're rarely free. Eventually got one at 10 PM, but charging overnight wasn't enough to fill my battery because it's incredibly slow. When I've stayed at Universal properties, they have tons of complimentary fast chargers for guests. For EV drivers, Disney gets a 1 star rating.
Costs quite a bit but totally worth it. Everything's clean and the staff is warm and welcoming. It's truly an unforgettable experience. Showcase of what America can be. You won't want to leave. If possible, also check out Cape Kennedy while you're in the area. Absolutely incredible.
I needed to swap my tickets around to work with some family scheduling, and the customer service person who helped me was outstanding. Super friendly, patient, and made the whole thing smooth. Highly recommend them if you want to have the best Disney visit possible.
Fantastic service! I called with questions about my upcoming vacation and the representative was incredibly professional and helpful, going through everything I needed to know. And this was after 10 at night and they still gave me top notch attention.
Really glad to see new leadership taking charge at Disney. The previous direction wasn't working out. I'm hopeful about the current CEO's approach. Companies succeed when they stay true to what made them great while still improving and moving forward. I'd love to see the original vision of the company's founder continue to guide operations going forward.
We visited Disney World back in 2019 and ran into some unexpected challenges with our rental car and other situations outside our control. On our first day at Hollywood Studios, one of the Guest Services staff members realized our day wasn't going smoothly. They took time to show us a section of the park they loved and gave our kids a thoughtful gift. We were truly moved. The next day our rental car broke down, which delayed our arrival after months of planning. We missed all our fast passes and hadn't eaten. At Epcot's Guest Services, we hoped to recover our fast passes and maybe get discounted tickets for an extra day. They gave us our fast passes back and handed us free tickets for the following day. I actually got emotional because of how kind they treated us. The car problem wasn't their responsibility, but they chose to make our trip special anyway. Disney costs a lot for us, but their dedication to creating magic made it worthwhile.
