Sorted by: Most recentThis is hands down the worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I ordered a size 10 straight leg capri and somehow received a size 4 capri with a dolphin hem instead. How does a system glitch like that even happen? And nobody informed me upfront that they don't refund credit cards or provide prepaid return labels like most legitimate online retailers do. I don't want store credit. I want a full refund for receiving completely wrong merchandise. Why would I trust them to get the right item if I tried again? I'm never dealing with Dressbarn again.
I won't be ordering from Dressbarn ever again. I bought a cute dress that didn't fit, so I needed to return it. Problem one: there's no way to call anybody. No phone number anywhere, so you're stuck emailing. Problem two: I shipped it back using the label they provided and they charged me $13.92 for shipping. Problem three and the biggest issue: you don't get money back, you get store credit. So I spent $52.66 and got back $38.64 in credit. That's not right. Never again.
I've never experienced customer service this bad anywhere. I ordered khaki stretch long jeans and when my package arrived, they'd sent me navy capris instead. I've been trying to return them for almost a week and as of day six, nobody is responding to my messages. They clearly only care about getting your money, not about taking care of customers once they've got it.
Run far away from this retailer. I should have read the reviews first. They charged me $99 for a dress, sent me emails saying it shipped, and then it turned out it never actually shipped. I tried canceling through email, phone, and live chat. When I presented proof that their claims were false, they came back with yet another false excuse. They're owned by the same people, Retail Ecommerce Ventures and associates, who are bringing back other questionable companies online. These guys are already millionaires and they're using dishonest tactics to make even more money. How is this legal? I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission so hopefully they'll look into their practices.
Be aware that this is not the same company as the original Dressbarn stores. It's a completely different business that just bought the name. I didn't realize this when I placed an order for three pairs of shorts. The shipping took four weeks, the quality of the material was pretty poor, and the sizing was completely off. Finding their customer service contact info was nearly impossible, and there was no return label included. I tried reaching out through chat and email but got nothing back. I took a risk and shipped the items back to an address I found, paying $20 for tracking and signature confirmation. Three weeks passed before they responded with an email offering store credit instead. I'm out $100 with nothing to show for it. This is not the real Dressbarn and I'd strongly recommend avoiding it.
I'm really upset about what happened with my January 2022 order. Without my knowledge, Dressbarn signed me up for a rewards program that charged me $9.99, and to make matters worse, my original order went through twice. Every single month I was getting emails and text messages about two separate $9.99 charges for this rewards program. When I tried to use the support links to fix it, the system wouldn't recognize my contact information. I thought it had to be some kind of scam. Once I realized these charges were actually hitting my credit card, I had no choice but to call my credit card company and dispute them. This whole situation has left me feeling really disappointed and betrayed. The whole thing felt dishonest and wrong. I'm done shopping with Dressbarn and won't be going back.
Grade: F for Fail. DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH DRESSBARN. When you set up an account on their website and make a purchase, there's a box that comes already checked which automatically enrolls you in a $9.99 monthly Rewards Program. I only found out when the charge hit my credit card and I looked into it. I called their so-called customer service to request a reversal, and all they would do is offer me a $10 gift card. They refused to reverse the actual charge back to my card. It's completely ridiculous to charge someone for a rewards program without getting clear permission first. I got scammed out of $9.99 just for opening an account. DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH DRESSBARN.
This really is a scam and I wish I had checked reviews before ordering. They've kept their merchandise and my money both. Don't place any orders with this company.
I ordered a dress from the site and received a totally different style instead. After I contacted customer service, I got a few generic responses, one asking me to send a picture of what I actually got, and then nothing. I even asked to speak with a manager and was met with complete silence. It's been over three weeks since the wrong item arrived with zero resolution. Think carefully before buying here.
