What Shoppers Say About Dr. Scholl’s
Dr. Scholl's receives a very low average rating of 1.9 out of 5 based on 18 customer reviews. The overwhelming majority of negative feedback centers on quality control issues with insoles, particularly problems with sizing, fit, and thickness that require larger shoe sizes. Customers also report significant frustration with customer service, citing long hold times (over 30 minutes), unprofessional conduct, and slow refund processing. Several reviewers express concern about the satisfaction guarantee being difficult to redeem, with strict conditions that many find misleading or impossible to fulfill.
A small portion of shoppers report positive experiences, though they are outnumbered by complaints. Beyond operational issues, some customers cite dissatisfaction with the brand's overseas manufacturing and preference for American-made alternatives. The most consistent complaint involves the removal of sizing information printed directly on insoles, replaced with paper templates that lead to improper sizing and wasted purchases.

Sorted by: Most recentTotal waste of money and time. I bought insoles for my boots and after trimming them down, they ended up being way too small. I've relied on Dr. Scholl's products plenty of times before, so I'm really let down by how they've changed things. Instead of having sizes printed right on the insoles like they used to, now you get a paper template you have to lay on top and cut around. And here's the kicker - when you cut them to fit your size, the pattern runs a full size smaller than it should. I'd sooner throw out my favorite boots than give this company another cent. Their stuff is made overseas and the quality shows it.
Really bad customer service experience. When I called about my return, I could hear staff in the office yelling at each other to hurry up - totally unprofessional and it sounded like chaos back there while they were dealing with my issue. My money still hasn't come back even though they got my return a while ago. I expected way better from a company with this name.
Complete disaster. After ordering sandals, they went on sale just two days later, so I called customer service to see about adjusting the price. I couldn't get through - the hold times were over thirty minutes with bad elevator music and annoying beeping sounds like someone was messing with the phone. I tried their online chat as an alternative and they wanted me to pay extra to have someone call me back. A week went by before I got an email response saying they couldn't do a price adjustment because the sandals weren't actually on sale - except they were, which is literally why I was calling. Three different options, three strikes. I'm done ordering from Dr. Scholls. This deserves zero stars.
Got a pair, trimmed them to size, and when I tried putting them in my shoe, the heel part wouldn't sit flat - and I couldn't cut it down further. I returned them and got another pair. These at least fit, but then I realized the insoles are so thick that I'd need to buy shoes a half or full size bigger than I normally wear. Not thrilled about my experience overall since I expected something different for my first insole purchase. They may work fine, but I'm not satisfied. Also, who puts the instructions on the inside of the packaging where it's hard to even open?
Their so-called satisfaction guarantee is fake. They won't actually take back shoe inserts that haven't been worn at all. To get your money back, you're required to give the inserts away and then mail in a receipt proving you did charity work with them. And if you've worn them even once, you can't donate them, so there goes your refund. It's a lie to call it a satisfaction guarantee.
Really disappointed with this brand since everything they make comes from overseas. I checked the packaging when I saw it at a big box store. In today's world, it's more important than ever to back products made in America and companies that support local economies. We ended up going with a different brand instead of Dr. Schulz because we don't want to support overseas manufacturing. I can't encourage anyone to pick up their stuff.
What an amazing response! I had a bad foot and ankle injury recently and bought a Dr SCHOLL'S product thinking it would help with the pain, but it wasn't the right one. I reached out about returning it and within thirty hours they took care of everything and refunded me. I'm honestly blown away by how fast they responded and actually fixed my problem! Thank you so much to this company!
Placed an order from this company nearly two months back and my purchase still hasn't shown up. The listing said quick delivery, but here I am two months later without the product or any updates on when it's coming. For some reason it's shipping from overseas, and I've requested a refund repeatedly but keep getting told to be patient. This is a complete scam and I can't recommend it.
Before using Dr Scholl's, I couldn't make it through an 8-hour shift without my feet killing me. But after I started using their product, the pain basically disappeared completely. I'm shocked at how many people aren't giving this a try.
One star is generous. The worst customer service out there. I hope they shut down for good. They wouldn't cancel my order right away even though I asked literally the same day I bought it. All I wanted to do first was switch out a reference number, and they said that counts as an exchange. The thing hasn't even shipped yet. Now I'm thinking about legal action. What's wrong with running a business these days?
