Fuzzy’s Taco Shop Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
Fuzzy's Taco Shop has a divided customer base, with ratings split fairly evenly between detractors and enthusiasts. Supporters praise the food quality, fair pricing, and welcoming atmosphere at certain locations, with some customers so satisfied they created accounts specifically to review. However, a significant portion of reviewers report serious disappointments: concerns about food preparation methods (microwaving instead of traditional cooking), bland and generic flavors with overreliance on cilantro, and inconsistent service quality. Several customers express they expected better based on the chain's reputation.
Location appears to matter significantly at Fuzzy's Taco Shop, as experiences vary considerably between different stores. While some patrons become repeat customers and appreciate the value, others cite convenience as their only reason for returning despite dissatisfaction with food quality and taste. Staff professionalism is another inconsistency, ranging from genuinely welcoming and attentive to noticeably cold and unwelcoming across different visits.

Sorted by: Most recentWe ate at the Fort Worth location two years ago and it was fantastic. Big mistake trying the Rogers location. Everything tasted like it came straight out of a microwave. The rice hadn't even been washed and was really gross. The beef was the worst I've had in a long time. Walking out we noticed the windows were filthy and there was trash piled up by the dumpster area that had obviously been sitting there forever. Save your money and skip this one.
Just went to the Royal location in Dallas for the first time and I'm already planning my next visit. The staff made me feel so welcome from the second I walked in. Everything tasted amazing, especially the huge burritos that could easily feed two people. The guacamole was incredible and the warm chips were perfect. I heard the nachos were fantastic too. Every single employee was friendly and helpful, and the manager really went above and beyond checking in on customers and making sure orders were right. The place was spotless and had great TVs plus a nice covered patio outside. They've got a solid bar selection too. Their frozen Jack and Coke was a hit. Highly recommend checking this location out.
Great little taco spot. Passed by it several times before finally going in and now I'm hooked. Definitely going back.
We keep coming back but keep getting disappointed. The food arrives undercooked or cold almost every visit. The tortillas crack apart because they're ice cold instead of properly heated. I always order the latin fried potatoes fresh and they show up cold anyway. When we complain about it, the staff gets defensive instead of actually helping. As someone who appreciates authentic Mexican cooking, it's frustrating seeing it done poorly.
My husband and I went to the San Angelo location for Margarita Monday. The sign said two dollar margaritas but we got charged three dollars. When we asked about it, the cashier said they can't change the sign and that corporate sets the prices. Everything else seemed fine but that sign is totally wrong about lunch specials, happy hour deals, and drink prices. Looks like there's a management issue with getting the right information posted.
I've been eating at Fuzzy's for about eight years and they're all over the Dallas area. The food is decent but pretty expensive for what you get. They had some issues after I got their app that frustrated me. On the Fourth of July they were advertising free queso and chips through the app, which got me to place an order. When I went to pick it up, they told me the app promotion wasn't working and couldn't honor it. The manager told me to call corporate for a promotional code instead of just giving me the chips and queso like any reasonable person would do. I left hungry and went home to find they'd also made my order wrong and shorted me two tacos.
It's a chain restaurant but it's definitely the top spot for a quick taco meal. Their chicken hard taco is the real deal. Those chips have a seasoningon them that tastes just like Shake-n-Bake in a really good way.
