What Shoppers Say About Gerber Gear
Gerber Gear receives highly polarized reviews from shoppers. Satisfied customers praise the quality of the knives and multi-tools, noting that they hold an edge well and are fairly priced. Some reviewers highlight positive experiences with the lifetime warranty program, mentioning that the company shipped replacement parts promptly upon request. However, the majority of reviews express serious frustration with customer service. Shoppers report an inability to reach support through phone, unresponsive email communication, unresolved billing issues, and promotional code problems that were not adequately addressed. Several customers who were previously loyal to the brand indicate they are switching to competitors like Leatherman due to these service failures.
The disconnect between product quality and customer support appears to be the primary driver of negative sentiment. While the gear itself receives compliments, the lack of accessible communication channels and ineffective problem resolution have left many reviewers dissatisfied despite receiving the items they ordered.

Sorted by: Most recentIf zero stars were an option I'd pick that. This company is incredibly unprofessional about customer service. Responses take 15+ hours or don't happen at all, and when they do reply it's barely helpful. A friend recommended their website and it was a disaster. My order still hasn't shipped even though they generated the label weeks ago. Asked for a refund this morning and here it is evening with no response. They're basically refusing to ship or refund. This is not how you run a business. You took my money and won't follow through.
Bought a knife that wasn't right for me, so I emailed the same day requesting a return and asking where to send it back. Nothing. No phone line, no way to contact anyone. It's been over a month and multiple emails with zero replies. Stuck with an expensive knife I can't return. Skip buying direct from Gerber. Go with another brand because if you ever need warranty service or repairs, you won't get it from them.
Not the biggest fan of the celebrity name on it, but I was wrong about this multi tool. After four months of regular use, it's held up great and proven incredibly practical. I take it everywhere on weekends for various projects. The spring loaded pliers work way better than my non spring loaded competitor model. The scissors and screwdriver alone have been super valuable.
