What Shoppers Say About goop
Goop has a significantly low rating of 1.7 out of 5 based on 25 customer reviews, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. The most common complaints include severe customer service failures (delayed or non-responsive support when addressing billing errors, product issues, and delivery problems), product quality issues (fragrances with off-putting scents, jewelry that breaks quickly), unauthorized charges appearing on accounts, and ethical concerns regarding animal welfare practices and fur sales.
A small minority of shoppers gave positive ratings, though recent reviews provide no insight into what drives satisfaction. The overwhelming pattern across feedback is unresolved customer problems combined with a lack of responsive support, suggesting potential systemic issues with both product quality and customer service infrastructure.

Sorted by: Most recentGetting help from their customer service team is basically impossible. Plus the clothing items I got don't match what was advertised on the website.
Purchased their glow toner from a discount retailer and it was infested with bugs. When I contacted the company to report this, they refused to help and told me to deal with the retailer instead. I have documentation if needed.
Really loving the new items they keep rolling out and the fact that they focus on being environmentally responsible.
Ordered a dress marked final sale and it came dirty and worn with no tags. I sent several messages with pictures showing the condition and got nothing back. Tried calling during their posted hours and nobody answered. Messaged them on their social media accounts and still nothing. Based on other reviews it looks like I'm stuck with this filthy dress and will have to pay out of pocket to get it cleaned.
I haven't actually bought anything from them, but I wanted to leave a review anyway because their article featuring that celebrity talking with Phil Stutz about finding meaning in small moments was really valuable. Since most newspapers charge for access, I was really glad to find this interview there and found it genuinely useful.
My skin has never looked worse since using their beauty line. When they first released the face oil, nourishing cream, and glow lotion, the quality was solid. Something switched for the worse. The cream isn't even the same color anymore. Whatever's in these products now is triggering allergic reactions and leaving my skin incredibly parched, especially the body butter. It's unfortunate because I used to really like them.
Possibly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Sent twelve emails and called multiple times over just two days trying to cancel an order that got placed by accident. Their phone number doesn't work and just says they're helping other customers and to try back or email. When you email nobody confirms they got it or follows up. You just get silence. I would never need a product badly enough to put up with this kind of aggravation. I'm officially done with them.
Their customer service basically doesn't exist. You email and get no response. You call and nobody picks up. If something goes wrong with your order, you're completely on your own. Want to return something? You pay for shipping. Want to cancel? Good luck getting anyone to respond. So annoying. I'm going to spend weeks trying to track them down just for a return label on an order I asked to cancel in the first place. Never shopping here again. Plus their stuff costs way more than the same items at other stores.
Used their products and ended up looking older and more exhausted, apparently missing my ex. Not the transformation I was hoping for.
My wife ordered something and it arrived in two separate boxes. Each actual product box is about four inches square, but they shipped them in two huge containers measuring eighteen by twelve by six inches, stuffed with extra padding. Inside there's a quote about being the change and using recyclable materials to protect the environment. That's just marketing nonsense. Your packaging is some of the most wasteful I've ever encountered. You could've fit these two tiny boxes in a fraction of the space with just a little effort, but clearly you think your customers won't notice the contradiction. Well we notice. We're done ordering from you. That's a lot of greenwashing.
