Two weeks went by with absolutely nothing happening and when I tried reaching out via email, nobody got back to me. These folks seem to only care about getting you to sign up and hand over your payment info, then they vanish. Wish I could leave a worse rating than this.
Paid for a full year membership back in November 2023. Now I can't log in and it's asking me to purchase again. Sent them a copy of my receipt through their support but haven't gotten any actual help.
Started out really enjoying it but their customer service is completely nonexistent. I paid for a yearly membership and after half a year my situation changed financially so I cancelled thinking I couldn't afford it anymore. Six months later when my subscription was about to run out, things improved for me and I wanted to sign back up. Getting into my account was tricky so I reset my password which usually is straightforward. But when I tried logging in with the new password it said it was wrong. After trying a few more times, the system locked me out saying I'd had too many failed attempts. So I figured sending an email would get this sorted quickly. What a mistake that was. Thirty emails back and forth and the support people clearly weren't actually reading what I was saying. They just kept giving me the same generic advice about clicking links and signing up fresh, ignoring that I already have an existing account I just can't get into. I got bounced between different support staff members and none of them actually listened. The emails showed they weren't carefully reading my situation.
The signup process is really confusing and the help desk isn't reliable at all.
Honestly I'd give negative stars if I could. Support here simply refuses to help. My account supposedly doesn't exist according to them, yet they have no problem continuing to charge me through PayPal every single month. I've reached out multiple times about this issue and gotten nowhere. Now I'm having to take matters into my own hands by calling my bank to stop the charges. This outfit doesn't care about helping customers but they sure love taking your cash. DO NOT USE.
Nightmare trying to cancel this thing. I can get into access.historyhit.com without issue but not the main site. When I go to cancel on the access version, I get an error every time saying the cancellation won't go through. I've emailed support about this and they're claiming they can't find my email in their system. Meanwhile, they've got no problem pulling money out of my account like clockwork. After explaining everything again I heard nothing back. Since nothing else worked, I had to call my bank and tell them to block the recurring charge. Just don't subscribe to this. I've never seen a service that won't let customers cancel.
I ended my subscription back in December but they're still pulling money from my checking account. They don't actually answer emails properly either. DO NOT GET THIS SUBSCRIPTION.
This is exactly what the first negative review said and I'm living it right now. The site won't load for me so I've got no way to cancel my membership. Why would anyone pay for something they can't even use? I've written five different emails and haven't heard anything back. I'm expecting they're going to have to refund me but good luck getting them to actually respond.
Same situation as lots of unhappy people. Paid my subscription fee, never got a trial period and couldn't access anything. Their support team is absolutely horrible and I'm still waiting for my money back after almost six weeks. If you enjoy throwing your cash away for nothing in return, then by all means sign up. Otherwise, steer clear.
Disappointed in the selection of shows available on this platform. In my opinion, you'll find significantly superior content on YouTube Premium which includes a huge library of Time Team along with various other programs. Additionally, ending your subscription here shouldn't be this confusing but unfortunately it is.
