What Shoppers Say About hugsleep.com
Shoppers consistently report severe issues with HugSleep's products and customer service. Common complaints include sizing problems (products being too small), non-functional contact forms and website features that prevent order modifications or returns, misleading return policies (particularly the 30-night guarantee), quality issues such as pilling after washing, unexpectedly high return shipping costs (especially for international customers), and unresponsive customer service representatives. Several reviewers report difficulty obtaining refunds or exchanges and felt dismissed when attempting to resolve problems.
A small number of shoppers gave positive ratings, though their feedback is not detailed in available reviews. The overwhelming majority of feedback centers on logistical and service failures rather than product performance, as many customers report issues before being able to use or properly evaluate the items purchased.

Sorted by: Most recentThe company markets this as being beneficial for anxiety and a bunch of other conditions, but it's just not a comfortable thing to sleep in. Even though it was a Christmas gift for my autistic grandson, they wouldn't accept a return. I kept encouraging him to give it another try, but by that point we'd gone past the 30-day window. It's a subpar product with a terrible return policy, plain and simple.
Took my payment and then I never received the item. Absolutely terrible customer service, plus I had to pay extra shipping since I'm ordering from outside the US. It took forever for them to mail it out and then forever for it to reach me overseas. Then one day I checked the tracking and it said delivered, which was completely false. I reached out to customer service and they basically told me to contact the post office myself. I looked into it locally, which was a headache in itself, and realized the package had gone missing somewhere in the city. When I told the company, they said I needed to file a police report. Are you serious? That seemed like a complete waste of time. Since it was marked as delivered in their system, they said there was nothing they could do. I might try to dispute it with my credit card company but honestly I'm not confident anything will happen. This whole experience has been a total nightmare. Why would someone go through all this hassle just to try to rip them off? It's ridiculous.
This is a waste of both money and energy. The product itself doesn't deliver on its promises. The customer service people are nearly impossible to work with and they make claims on their website that don't match up with reality. My sleep quality actually got worse after using this thing. Don't throw your cash away on this.
I was interested in trying Hug Sleep since I really enjoy being wrapped snugly in blankets, and they advertised a 30-day money back guarantee, so I figured why not give it a shot. After using it for a few nights, I found the arm compression way too intense and uncomfortable. That's when things got frustrating. I tried reaching out to customer service through their text chat option multiple times, but nobody ever got back to me. To make matters worse, there's no phone line available, so calling a real person is completely out of the question. When I finally got an email response, they told me I had to return it with a printout of my original confirmation email, which I'd already deleted. They also said I'd have to cover shipping costs myself and use a method with tracking. I attempted to contact them again about not having that original email, but I got zero response after several more attempts. Eventually I filed a dispute with my credit card company. My advice: skip this altogether. If you're determined to try it anyway, consider purchasing through Amazon instead to protect yourself.
Hands down the most effective thing I've ever tried for managing my PTSD, way better than any of the medications or sleep programs I've attempted. My sleep is so much deeper now and I'm not plagued by those awful nightmares anymore. I'm not waking up sore from tossing around in weird positions all night. Unlike weighted blankets, it doesn't make me overheat, and I really appreciate that my feet stay free since they tend to get hot easily. It's honestly become like my new best friend.
TOTAL SCAM. I ordered to Europe from the USA and when the package arrived, there was just a dirty towel inside. The packaging also showed clear signs of being opened and tampered with. I contacted their support team by email, sent pictures, and was patient throughout the process, but now they're completely ghosting me for weeks even though I've sent multiple messages. This has been an absolutely awful experience from start to finish.
We ordered two pods and got them fairly quickly. After four months of use, one started falling apart because of really bad seam work. We reached out to the company and got a quick response, but they basically said four months counted as extended use and they weren't going to stand behind the product. That tells you everything you need to know about how confident they are in their own items. I ended up taking it to a local tailor who fixed it for me. It's disappointing that the company wouldn't even offer to cover the repair cost for something that clearly should last longer than four months. Think carefully before ordering from a place that won't back up their merchandise.
