What Shoppers Say About maxtrixkids.com
Maxtrixkids.com receives consistently poor feedback from shoppers across all reviews on RetailCoupons.com. The most frequently cited issues include significant quality control problems such as missing parts, damaged components, and structural defects (wobbling beds, sinking sofas), as well as substantial customer service failures including unresponsive support staff, automated responses that contradict FAQ information, and difficulty reaching human representatives. Additional complaints involve product color misrepresentation, limited color selection, and discontinued white glove delivery service that previously was offered.
Shoppers also report extended shipping delays (some orders taking three weeks or longer) and inflexible delivery scheduling. The consistent pattern across reviews suggests that despite the higher price point of these furniture items (ranging from several hundred to over a thousand dollars), customers report receiving products that do not meet quality expectations for the cost. Negative experiences appear to span both newly ordered items and repeat customers who previously had better experiences with the company.

Sorted by: Most recentThe item never went out and the email support I got was from some kind of automated bot that gave me wrong information that didn't match what's on their FAQ page. When I asked for a real person they never connected me and I had to follow up several times. My order sat for three weeks without shipping. Finally a human responded after I called directly and confirmed it still hadn't gone out. I asked them to cancel the whole thing.
We ordered a queen loft bed and another queen bed. The color selection is pretty limited but we went with chestnut from the three choices based on what was shown on their site. When it was delivered the furniture was bright ORANGE. I had multiple people come check it out to make sure I wasn't crazy. They all agreed it was orange. I called customer service to ask about switching it for white and they wanted to charge me three hundred dollars for return shipping. That's a lot of money for expensive furniture like this. I assumed a company at that price point would really care about quality and taking care of customers. Turns out that's not true. I've already spent a ton on the queen loft and the extra bed so I can't justify spending more on shipping when the website misrepresented the color.
The product came with missing parts, I received the missing parts but then those had missing parts too. Honestly the missing pieces aren't even the main issue but for a grand I expected quality on this full loft bed. Unfortunately that's not what I got. The bed wobbles around and I regret not reading the reviews first. I thought paying more meant getting better stuff but apparently that's not how this works. Would've been better off getting a metal loft bed and just wrapping the screws with cloth to reduce noise. I figured I was buying solid sturdy wood but nope, it's soft cheap wood where you can screw things in by hand with no power tools. Shop somewhere else.
We bought the full size uber loft bed and had also purchased a twin bunk from them four years ago which we really liked. This time around everything fell short of expectations. They stopped offering white glove delivery service. I tried multiple times to set up a delivery time that worked for us but they said they only do deliveries one day a week and you get a window the night before. They won't let you skip the signature requirement either. I rearranged my schedule and took time off work for their four hour window and they showed up outside of it anyway. They outsource assembly to Angi now. The Angi person canceled on us with barely thirty minutes notice and rebooked us without asking first. Took two hours to straighten that out. When assembly was finally done the craftsmanship was disappointing. The whole thing shakes and wobbles even after we put up the wall supports. The mattress they offer didn't even fit properly in the bed. It was such a bad experience we're just going to get rid of it and buy from somewhere more trustworthy like Pottery Barn or a similar retailer.
I tried to work with this company and give them a chance to make it right. Two weeks after I got the top bunk bed I ordered to go with my existing twin bed, I'm still dealing with missing pieces and damaged parts with zero response from them. Since they were taking forever to address the missing parts, I ordered replacement pieces from their site myself, paid for shipping again, and waited over a week for them to arrive. Guess what was in the box? Only 2 rock locks instead of the 4 I ordered! The replacement parts were missing parts too. Absolutely crazy. And I still haven't heard anything about the damaged side rail for the top bunk that I can't even use. Worst company experience I've ever had.
Biggest mistake ordering from this company. I spent 850 pounds on a sofa and within a month it started sinking and the buttons came off. It looks nice visually but the build quality is absolutely awful. I tried reaching out to customer service multiple times and they just ignore my messages. I saved up for four months to afford this sofa and now I can't even use it. After only six months it feels like it's going to fall apart when you sit on it. I'm already saving to buy a replacement even though this one is less than six months old. This company really needs to be held accountable.
Spent four grand on a bedroom set that took three months to get to me, and it showed up broken, mismatched, and made from cheap materials. I feel terrible about giving them my money. This isn't solid wood it's veneer. Go to an actual furniture store instead. I'm really upset and dreading having to deal with their return process.
Got a broken chair where the back won't attach and a desk that can't be used because there's no leg space. Spent nearly 700 dollars on these items from MaxTrix Kids. These people are fraudsters, especially the rep named Mia who handles customer service. They won't fix anything and refuse to let me talk to anyone higher up. They keep asking for photos of the broken stuff even though I already took it apart and packed it back up. They don't have any policy about damaged products anyway. Seems like they send out broken merchandise on purpose so they can hit you with shipping and restocking charges, then just sell the same broken stuff to someone else. They make you send items back using their carrier but won't even give you a prepaid label. I've filed multiple disputes with PayPal and they're just as useless, not paying attention to the actual problem and letting this company get away with keeping my money while sending broken products. The FTC needs to look into what these people are doing.
Customer service was terrible. My bed arrived damaged and they never properly fixed the issue. They weren't sorry about it at all and wouldn't even respond to my messages. If you get a damaged product, don't expect them to actually help you out. They don't back their merchandise at all.
Their customer service communication is awful. You email and it takes them days to get back to you. Our dresser got damaged during shipment and it took a whole week for them to respond to my email with damage photos, and their solution was just a credit to keep the damaged piece. The entire order took three months to arrive. We had absolutely no idea when anything was shipping because they never communicated with us. I'm not sure what's going on over there in North Carolina but something is off with management or their systems need an overhaul. Their website shows amazing ratings but they filter reviews before posting them. I left a detailed negative review and honestly I doubt they'll let it show. So basically they're inflating their scores. Just shop somewhere else and save yourself the headache.
